The house was great for 6 adults with room to spare. It has everything we needed and the new kitchen and bathroom are beautiful! We loved relaxing in the sunroom. Location to surrounding towns was great!

The house and yard were even better than the pics online. We had 7 adults, and we all fit comfortably, with room to spare. The decor in the house is just fantastic, with lots of mid-century modern pieces. The back yard is large and fairly secluded, and the fire pit is great for kicking back and shooting the breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and off the beaten path, but there is a great walking loop that takes you around the area in a quick 20 minutes or so.
The location is also great for making trips and forays into Woodstock and Saugerties. You can drive to Woodstock in about 5 minutes, so multiple trips, even in the same day, are a breeze.
This is just a great place, and we're looking forward to visiting again in the future.

The decor in the house is just fantastic, with lots of mid-century modern pieces. The back yard is large and fairly secluded, and the fire pit is great for kicking back and shooting the breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and off the beaten path, but there is a great walking loop that takes you around the area in a quick 20 minutes or so.
The location is also great for making trips and forays into Woodstock and Saugerties. You can drive to Woodstock in about 5 minutes, so multiple trips, even in the same day, are a breeze.
This is just a great place, and we're looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Casa Real was Casa Unreal
This is a 1960's house, not a modern rendition of that era but a house that has but barely been altered since it was built. In general the house we rented does not fit the VRBO/Evolve description of it. The house's location is good, the beds are new and comfortable, and the hot tub is new, clean, and hot, but little else positive can be said about this rental. Four couples gathered here and we managed to enjoy each other's company but the house was not really a big part of our enjoyment.
The kitchen has many issues. The countertops are painted formica, the original wood cabinets have been painted white but the hardware was reused. The appliances are reasonably new but the kitchen has the original floor plan which makes having more than two people in it nearly impossible. The refrigerator door opens in the wrong direction blocking a kitchen entryway and making access to its contents difficult. The cook top leaves a lot to be desired functionality. The pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery are OK but the kitchen drawers are jammed full of many items that mostly are duplicates and they are so full that it's difficult to find any one particular item. The countertops are crammed with appliances restricting the space in which one can prepare meals and there are multiples of every item imaginable in the cabinets and drawers which only adds to the chaos. No one has paid attention to the usability of this kitchen and cooking in it presents numerous challenges.
One of the four bathrooms has been renovated but not the other three, which are straight from the 60's and can accurately be described as disgusting. Although there are 4 bathrooms listed two are within one bedroom: literally his and hers bathrooms of which one is very awful and in need of immediate replacement. Two other bedrooms share the renovated bathroom and the fourth bedroom has a bathroom adjacent to it. That bedroom also has the washers and dryers in one if its closets meaning that anyone doing laundry must walk into that bedroom.
There is no organic flow-through to the layout of the rooms. The formal living room is essentially wasted space, with a white baby grand piano taking up a big chunk of space and it is terribly out of tune. We rarely used that room. The sunken den and living room represent tripping hazards and the arched doorways throughout the house add to the poor flow through. The couch in the den is deep and low and generally uncomfortable. Not all of the bedrooms have dressers.
The exterior is desperately in need of maintenance. Moss covers the driveway, walkways, and exterior stucco. The screens have leaf litter and spider webs on them, the gutters are clogged, the exterior plants have not been trimmed or maintained and the swampy land adjacent to the house guarantees that your outdoor time during the warmer months will be mosquito filled. The house is very obviously a total rental, with absentee landlords and the property has been allowed to deteriorate. We used the screened-in back porch a lot but had to block two soffit spaces with cardboard to prevent mosquitoes from getting in. And lastly, the sliding door to the screened-in porch was extremely difficult to open and close. It must be original equipment, typical for this house. Most of the descriptions on the VRBO/ Evolve websites are sugarcoated and are not as wonderful as described. We cannot in good conscience recommend this property, unless the owners pay significantly more attention to the house they are renting.

We stayed at Casa Real for a long weekend. My wife and I, 2 kids (3 and 7), and my parents. The space was great for all of us and everyone was comfortable. The property is like a time warp in all the best ways. The furniture is comfortable and cool and fits the home. Location was great.

The house is extremely unique with everything chosen with care and a keen eye. The house is large with many large rooms to spread out in and ample seating areas both indoor and out for eating and relaxing. I especially loved the dining room and the screened in porch. The bedrooms are all a good size and 3 of them have king sized beds! A real treat coming from a small bedroom in Brooklyn. The sheets, pillows and beds were extremely comfortable with high fancy hotel quality. I loved the mattress so much I will look into getting one at home. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of cabinets & drawers so you need to look around to find what you are looking for. The outdoor space was also amazing with a number of tables and chairs and a lovely fire pit that we really enjoyed. The hot tub was great and very clean and in good working condition. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub! The owners were extremely accommodating and replied promptly when we had an issue with the AC on a very hot day. The technician came right away and fixed it and he didn’t disrupt any of our plans. The location is great close to everything and a Hannafords supermarket right up the road for basic needs. We were so busy running around with activities I wish we had more time to just relax at the house.

We had a fabulous 65th birthday celebration with family and friends and the house (inside & out) was absolutely perfect!! I loved all the furnishings and the attention to detail in all the rooms. The beds were amazingly comfortable with luxury hotel quality sheets, pillows and comforters. The outdoors was beautifully done with a lovely fire pit and tables outside. The hot tub was great very clean and in excellent working condition. Excellent location just minutes away from Woodstock. Highly recommend this beautiful home especially for a larger group or a special oak occasion.

Exactly What We Needed
This place is as beautiful as it looks and we had a WONDERFUL time. Location is perfect and the property and interior are simply divine. We have a 2yr old so we had to move a handful of breakable items so that she didn't do any damage but otherwise we found it very kid friendly. We can't wait to stay here again in the future.

Great stay
We just got back from a 5 night stay and had a blast. the house was great, the owners were attentive and easy to deal with. the only downside was we wanted to stay longer than we originally booked but couldnt!!
The beds were fantastic, so comfrotable and very cozy duvets which makes a huge difference. The fireplaces inside and outside were great and they had plenty of wood available for us to have fires nightly. The hot tub was perfect as well.
Very cool space, we highly recommend. We will likely come back.

Amazing and unique home
Our group of friends had the best times. The minute you walk into the home it has the best vibes. Clean property with tons of common space and big bedrooms. The beds are all plush and comfy. We loved the artwork in the home. You are a 6 min drive from all the great spots in Woodstock! Our group of friends loved just playing games and hanging out. Great backyard views. Highly recommended! Owners make check in and check out easy. They are quick to respond l.

Great weekend stay
8 of us rented Casa Real for an annual fall weekend trip. We really enjoyed the house and the Woodstock area. The house was well equipped and the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. It's advertised as 4 bedrooms and 4 baths but two of the bedrooms actually share a bathroom. The master bedroom has 2 baths, so while technically correct, it's not too practical. The house and the rooms are nice and large. The fireplace was great and there was lots of cut and split wood to burn. The only small issue was that one of the trash cans in the master bathroom had not been emptied prior to our arrival and had an old banana peel in it along with some other disgusting trash. Overall, it was a great place for us and would highly recommend Cas Real for a family/group.
