About this house rental
Wake up to beautiful sunrises on the horizon, go for gentle walks on the beach or try your hand at something more adventurous. Magical Mangawhai has plenty to offer. This Lockwood home has recently been renovated with brand new beds, kitchen and bathroom fitted. A large deck overlooks the campground and estuary with views out to sea towards Great Barrier. Easy access to the estuary and a 10 minute walk to the shops. A must do is visit Bennett's Chocolate factory and the Saturday morning organic markets is full of treats for your stay including the best free range eggs, a local coffee bean roast and delicious cheeses. The local butcher has won numerous awards for his quality meat for the BBQ and the deli in the Heads has fantastic cheese sticks. There is a choice of restaurants, and at the surf club, during the fine weekends, you can get a delicious frozen fruit yogurt cone or coffee from the locals. If you are up for some exercise, the 3 hr Cliff walk from the surf beach is spectacular. There are other great walks and wineries to keep you busy. The newly built skate park and play area will entertain the children for hours. Special conditions: The bach is alarmed and helpful hints for your stay are on a card on arrival. Available from 4pm check in and 11am check out.

We have loved our stay in this house: it has all the comfort and amazing views!The location was perfect for us, not far from street with lovely restaurants/ takeaway places. Great beaches nearby and you just cannot beat the views from this property.We would love to come back one day

The house is great, but need some TLC when it comes to cleaning. We stayed during the latest storm, and there was a small leak in the lounge/conservatory entrance, which got fixed quickly by the owner. Great to have aircon in both the lounge and the hallway!. Overall, great location and amazing views!

Great location by the beach with an amazing view and comfortably slept 5 adults. Very well equipped with kitchen stuff and we really appreciated the proper coffee machine!

Amazing location with awesome views. Walk to beach in just a few minutes. Kayaks available too. Exceptionally comfortable facilities made this feel like home away from home. Would definitely visit again.
