About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Anna, this attractive house for $300 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Hideaway Heaven is a quiet and peaceful waterfront home. Enjoy lake living in this updated 3-bedroom, 2-bath home which sleeps eight comfortably. Waterfront on a quiet cove about mid-lake, great for summer fun with friends and family or a quiet weekend in the low season. Convenient to Food Lion grocery and restaurants. Dock will accommodate boats up to 21 feet in length and community boat launch is available for use. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed, and third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin over double bunk. Linens and towels provided. Master bath has a soaking tub and full shower; second bath has tub/shower combination. Home has all the amenities - fully-equipped kitchen, wifi, 3 televisions (Direct TV), a Blue Ray DVD player, full size washer and dryer and 5-person hot tub! Easy walk to water on either beautiful stone steps or paved path. Stone steps into water or ladder off dock. Rental comes with 4 kayaks (one a double). Enjoy the firepit while making s'mores and family memories! Dog friendly!. Our home is always spotless, but with the new virus concerns we are taking extra care. Our cleaner has been with us for years, does a great job and follows CDC cleanliness guidelines. We use only EPA approved products that kill germs and viruses. We disinfect every door knob, faucet, countertop and light switch. We have two sets of sheets and towels which are sanitized after each tenant and are never used for back to back renters. There are extra cleaning supplies in the home in case anyone wants the piece of mind of doing a little extra cleaning on their own. We do everything we can to make our home clean and safe.

We loved our stay here! There is water access, a fire pit area, and a hot tub. The inside of the house is very open and great for a group!

We had a great time at the lake! House is small but clean, well kept, well stocked and on a quiet street. (It’s a great street for walking dogs- grass on both street sides that’s not all overgrown weeds). Communication with the owner was a breeze- super responsive! It’s also nice when towels and linens are provided! Best of all it’s affordable for one family, which is hard to find at the lake nowadays.
The cove is very narrow, so kind of difficult to navigate a boat in and out. And the water in the cove isn’t great for swimming around- it’s very shallow and the bottom is yucky/slimy/smelly leaves/seaweed that your feet sink into. So we just swam a bit further out each time to float and watch the boat traffic. Also the temp gauge on the hot tub doesn’t seem right so it was hard to get a good temp there.
All in all a great trip! Ate out at Callie Opie’s and Asian Cafe, played putt putt and got icecream at Tim’s marina, rented jet skis and a boat.

The house had everything we needed. It was clean, good well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable. It was nice having lake access from the property and kayaks to use. Location was good.

Property was great. Owner communicated info with many details well prior to check-in so everything (including bringing our boat) was simple. Hot tub was working perfectly and clean, as was house. We didn't use the fire pit but did use the kayaks - again, everything just as described. Had everything we needed from towels to hand soap etc. Only thing that could have been improved was the weather!

The pictures do not do this rental justice. The house is very clean and spacious, and the property has tons of space to hangout. We had a great weekend away. The weather was nice and we were able to kayak, have a bonfire, relax in the hot tub, and even do a cold plunge. The hosts were also very informative and pleasant. Great stay!

Super cute, clean place, the hot tub and fire pit may be a bit of a challenge if you have any mobility challenges however, also the trash thing is a bit unusual but manageable. You need to take your trash with you to a drop off location about 7 minutes by car away, so plan for that. It would have been more preferable if that was made very clear in the listing itself.
You also are a bit closer to neighbors than it looks like in the photos but it’s still pretty private.
But overall a really cute place for a girls weekend

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we could have wanted in a weekend getaway, and was exactly as described on the listing. The house was clean, and the owners instructions were clear and easy to follow. Would definitely stay again.

We went to Lake Anna State Park and hiked one afternoon. Another day we rented a Pontoon Boat from Sturgeon Creek Marina, who were very friendly and very reasonably priced. We kayaked, made smores at the fire pit, and took advantage of the hot tub. I really liked the gate on the deck so our dog could lay out there without us worrying about her. We really don't live far from Lake Anna, and we'll probably come back for another long weekend sometime. It was nice to get away and spend some time together with our young adult kids at a very affordable price.

We especially did not appreciate having to play trashman after paying for cleaning fees. Also, thanks for not supplying any trash bags that, by the way, had to go inside our SUV on checkout day. Since your maid does not make beds, take out the trash or run the dishwasher. I want HER JOB!!!~ There also appeared to be what looked like vomit on a couple of couch pillows, and the living room room carpet contained several ominous odors which I noticed while doing my morning exercises. The deck was nice, and we spent a lot of time out there, although it was covered in leaves and branches. We would recommend your place, but would also recommend they bring kitchen trash bags, or require you to supply them:)
