A beautiful spacious gites overlooking a very pretty and private garden. The apartment had everything that we needed and more. Our host was lovely and very helpful. Communication re check in was very good and we were able to leave our bikes in the garden as we arrived before check in time. It was a very short walk to the centre of Amboise which is a very quaint town with a magnificent chateau. Lots of restaurants and bars open even though it was a Sunday. Despite being in the centre of Amboise the gite was very quiet.
The bedroom was hot (as it was a very hot evening) but there were fans which helped.

Off street parking, and location right in the centre of town both really excellent. Clean and tidy with provision of fans much appreciated. Excellent hot water supply. Enclosed garden area for dogs was maybe not something that many guests would welcome, but it was absolutely ideal for us. Charming decor, with very useful facilities.
Only a couple of major observations which would have improved our stay: the upstairs bathroom really needs a shower curtain to allow use as a shower with the excellent water pressure. It could also do with an upstairs toilet as well - the current bathroom is certainly large enough to accommodate it. Particularly after a bath with wet feet, or in the middle of the night, going down the steep stairs to visit the toilet could be a problem. Some information on potable water or the provision of a couple of bottles would have been a help. Also, not sure that the fridge was working correctly - didn't appear very cold. But this is a really charming place and you won't find a better site in the Loire Valley.
