Great location. Couldn’t be closer to the resort. Beds were very comfortable. We were in a different part of the condo than the listing. Everything was top notch.

We loved our stay at the Hidden Gem! The location was amazing! We could walk right up to Berkshire East for a day of skiing with no stress! The property around the house was perfect for our family. There is a beautiful creek next to the house and lots of room for our dogs to run. The house is also equipped with a full kitchen so we could enjoy our coffee and breakfast before a day on the slopes. We are looking forward to staying here again for our summer and winter vacations!

The space was perfect for our family. We were able to be at the mountain early since the proximity to Berkshire East Mountain is so amazing. We would return after a day of skiing, and enjoy cooking at "home" since the kitchen had all the essentials. Plenty of blankets for cozy sleeping.
Dave was a great host, and so easy to contact.
We had an awesome stay!

We stayed on a beautiful Autumn weekend to attend an event at Deerfield Academy. It was an easy drive, and very scenic. It was so nice to have a clean, pet friendly place to stay. Dave was easy to work with. We had breakfast one morning at a local place and stopped for fresh brewed fog buster coffee from the old fashioned general store.

We were doing some rafting and zip lines at Zoar Outdoor in Charlemont, MA. This is at the base of Berkshire East and is a great location for both Zoar and Berkshire East.
Property was ready for us when we arrived and was just as expected. It is a large property that can be converted to different housing options. We had the two bedroom one bath option and someone else was staying next door. We occasionally heard them walking around but overall it was really quiet.
We really liked the stream on the property and the nice patio for enjoying our morning coffee.
Highly recommend this if you are doing activities around the Deerfield River.

Very good stay in a great location. My husband could just walk back from the mountain, which was very convenient. Small place that could use some interior updates/small repairs, but very pretty and suited our needs. The driveway was plowed and the walkway was shoveled after a storm. The gentleman looking after the house was very accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

Charlemont Getaway
The apartment was clean and well organized. My husband and our 2 pets stayed there while we were having some work done on our home and it worked out very well! Dave was very pleasant and easily accessible. One thing to note is that the property is very close to the train tracks and the train whistle may disturb some light sleepers.

House is nice, well equipped, in a great location. Owner is responsive.
I was disappointed at cleanliness, especially the dishes which all had to be rewashed.

Nice little place to stay when exploring the area. Couldn't hear anything from the Thunder Mountain area next door, was nice and quiet and clean. Lovely separate deck area with chimenea, and the brook was beautiful. Recommend!

Dave could not have been more friendly and generous as a host.
The location is great. You can walk to rafting, mountain coaster, riverside food truck, etc.
Our only disappointments were the ants, which are everywhere, and the need to use bottled water. Dave supplied us with the first gallon, but it was an annoying inconvenience, nevertheless.

Very clean, well maintained, and secluded house in the forest. We enjoyed staying there for a few days. All appliances work properly and are in the good condition. WiFi was not very stable, but our stay at the house coincided with a tropical storm Henri, which could be a case of this. Additionally, it should be noted that, despite the water level in the stream flowing near the house has risen sharply and we feared that the parking could be flooded, the private road to the house, the parking, as well as the house itself were not flooded, and nothing was damaged. So the house is really safe.

Good location for fishing in remote Massachusetts. Property was clean and communication was good with owner. Worth noting that the other half of the house was occupied.

Tranquil retreat
Dave was a kind and generous host. He was quick to respond to our questions and provided helpful advice on attractions in the area. The suite was clean and had everything we needed for meal prep. The bubbling brook alongside the property added a nice calming touch to our stay. Our kids and dog loved playing in the yard, and you could tell everyone wanted just a bit more time in our stay. It was also a quick trip to several state parks and North Adams with Mass MOCA. Can't wait to return!

We lucked out because there was great snow at Berkshire East, and able to use this place as our "base lodge."

The property did not look like the listing. Careworn, badly in need of paint, couch in poor condition, outdoor chairs in bad shape. The apartment smaller than photos would have you believe, very dark.

My family of 3 loved our 3-night stay this cozy 2br suite immersed in an enchanting mountain environment. Travelers without mobility issues who are comfortable in a rustic setting will find a lot to enjoy at a great price, and we can’t wait to return.
The chalet could not be more convenient to the incredible outdoor adventures at Berkshire East (highly recommended). A path from your front door to the Mountain Resort is well under 5 minutes & a pleasant wooded walk by itself.
The spacious wraparound patio features a gas grill and a chiminea. A cozy interior layout provided plenty of space for me, my wife and our 10yo daughter. We slept well in the comfy beds and enjoyed leafy views from all of the windows.
The bathroom and a small landing with a bench are located on a second floor separate from the other rooms. Some guests might find the stairs inconvenient, but the split levels do create additional private space & make the unit feel more roomy overall.
You will marvel at the sounds of nature coming from the wooded mountain valleys at night. Birds and butterflies abound during the day. Just be prepared for a little of that immersion to enter your living space - you might find a few bugs, esp since the main entrances do not have screen doors.
Dave Pena was cordial and quick to respond to any questions before, during and after our visit.
The guest accommodations are located in the two-story section on the left of the house. A beautiful but uneven stone staircase leads to the entrance. This might present a problem for people with mobility issues, but otherwise it just adds to the rustic charm of the place.
During one night of our stay, the owner and two or three others occupied the right half of the building. We were barely aware of them for the great majority of this time. However, there were a few moments when voices could be heard having adult conversations. Just something to be aware of if you are expecting total privacy and/or have sensitive ears. The rest of the time we had the place all to ourselves.
Book with confidence and enjoy a bucolic adventure!

It was perfect for a girls get away. It was a nice home tucked away in a peaceful setting…a beautiful brook lines the edge of the property. It was so relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the water, as well as having a fire in the fire pit. The owner, was great. He was very responsive and easy to contact. Thank you

Dave, the owner, was great. He was very responsive and easy to contact. The Suite is very nice. Clean, roomy, and comfortable. The location is amazing. It's right next to the Berkshire East Ski Resort. There's a small path behind the suite that leads right inside the resort. We went in September 2020, and the resort had all kinds of summer activities: mountain biking on the slopes, an adventure rope course, and an Alpine Roller Coaster. There are so many great outdoors things to do nearby: whitewater rafting, kayaking, rivers, state parks, odd places like the Hoosic Train Tunnel. It's very close to Vermont. Even with the current Covid restrictions in place, there was plenty to do. Cell service is just ok (I'm on Verizon) and there is wifi in the suite but it's just ok (not Dave's fault-- all you can get in the area is DSL). Anyway, this is the kind of place you go for outdoors activities. Bring your own DVDs if you need something to watch. Great place. We would definitely return and hope to do so soon.

Just returned from a 6 night stay with a friend and my golden retriever. It was a nice, home away from home! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and it was spacious enough for two adults and a dog. We explored the area but balanced it with time just to relax and read a book! We appreciated the A/C as the weather was quite warm and humid!
