Built in 1912, the Huffman house displays it original charm with inspiring views of the Anaconda range and Flint Creek valley. The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with filtered cold tap water in the kitchen and bathroom, along with new appliances including dishwasher, garbage, microwave, disposal, and heated floor in the bathroom. Relax on an inviting front porch gazing at the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness, while imaging the view during the silver mining boom of the 1880s. Our property is smoke-free, so please enjoy the view from the back deck or front porch while smoking. The Huffman house is a 2 minute (0.3 mile) walk to main street, where you will find restaurants, shops selling everything from local sapphires to candy, a brew pub, and during the winter months a skating and ice hockey rink. From the house there is immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails in to the Flint Creek Range, and it is a short drive to Granite ghost town, Georgetown Lake and Discovery Ski area. For a longer adventure follow the 40-mile Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop, 8 miles of which follows Rock Creek famous for world-class fly fishing. Quaint and clean historic old home just on the edge of the main downtown street of Philipsburg in a quiet neighborhood. It was great being able to come with our dog (but fence is not very tall so medium/large dog that likes to escape could easily jump over). Beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and modern.

Wonderful views. Had all you need for kitchen utensils and supplies. Very nice inside. Very relaxing away from hustle and bustle. Homey. Comfortable. Some points; Had a number of spiders in house. Back porch would be nice with table and chairs. Some decking and rails on west porch need to be replaced. Road rough. Double/full bed could use a new mattress Queen was great. Would be nice to add more counter space, maybe a roll around butcher block unit with shelving/storage for kitchen for things renters bring with.

Stayed here with my two sisters. Our mother and many close relatives grew up here. We remember the Huffman Grocery and the family that ran it from our childhood visits here. The house is charming and updated very tastefully. Small problem with front door lock but the Host promptly responded and took care of us. The VRBO listing reads 3 bedrooms but there are 2 as it states in the detailed description. Would definitely consider staying here again.

My husband, myself, and our dog, stayed at Teri’s place from mid-July to mid-August, and had a great time. Philipsburg is a charming town, and we loved the house and the fabulous front porch. Teri is a great host. Regulating the temperature in the house wasn’t a problem. We closed it up in the morning and opened it up after the sun went down and the temp dropped. There are fans for the warmer days. The cool mornings were fantastic. The fenced yard was good for our dog, but there are gaps around the gates that a small or motivated dog could exploit. We didn’t have any problems, beyond our dog chasing deer away from the fence. 🙃 One nearby neighbor who was rarely there and very nice. The brewery is great, as is the Creamery and the new Porter’s Corner Cafe. I found everything I needed at the grocery store in town. I recommend kayaking on Georgetown Lake and exploring the Echo Lake Trail system. The location is very walkable to downtown, but the hill back up is steep! Good cardio. We would stay again if we’re in the area.

A classic older home on a hilltop in Phillipsburg with great views of the surrounding area. The property manager Scott was extremely helpful, made check in a breeze and was quick to supply necessary items. It is well-kept for an older home and fairly well appointed. As with any older home, there were some areas on the exterior of the home that needed maintenance and repairs. The lawn was a little long in the tooth as well and grooming around The house needed attention. The arrival amenities from the owner were most welcoming. It was great to sit on the porch in a rocking chair and view the peaceful surrounding countryside in the evenings. If you like a home with traditional rooms, high ceilings, molding around the doors and ceilings and the classic older look, this place was perfect.
