This was our third stay. It's still just as cute and cozy as ever but now has an updated bathroom. Waterfront cabin with great views is on a working marina next to a wedding venue. The small cabin isn't meant for indoor activities but the sheer beauty justifies any minor inconveniences. The steep stairs to the loft gets tricky. Watch your step on your way down. All in all it's as romantic as it gets when the surrounding activities are at their minimal.

From making the reservation to following up after our stay, Adrienne was responsive, easy to work with and very accommodating to our requests. We truly could not have chosen a more perfect home and location for our stay. The Heron's Nest is beautifully decorated, quaint and cozy with all the comforts of home. The property is exceptional with ample parking, fabulous water views, a large porch for enjoying morning coffee or watching the cruise ships coming in and out of port. We had a few guests during our stay, and many have reached out requesting information on the reservations process. I will be recommending "The Heron's Nest" to all family and friends. We are very familiar with the area and the marina! Our daughter got married next door to the cottage.. We absolutely LOVED having the cottage to get ready in and take pictures! It is an awesome location, the view is fantastic! Check in was super easy and host was very responsive! Will definitely recommend others to stay here!

This petite cottage is brimming with charm. The picturesque marina includes complementary use of pool, beach, fire pit and playground for Heron’s Nest renters. Sweeping bay views are visible from nearly every window of the cottage — and there are many. Sunrise watchers will not be disappointed, and the giant porch with ceiling fans is a great spot to lounge and view passing boats and soaring seabirds. I’d recommend this listing, and hopefully will be able to return!

The house was so cute. It was very serene right on the water. The sunrise and sunset were amazing. It was awesome being part of the marina and having access to the pool and the marina community. The staff was very helpful in making sure we had what we needed. The location was far enough from the city to be quiet, but close enough to get to.

The view of the water from inside the house is amazing. Very clean throughout and decorated with a cozy beach vibe. My family and I enjoyed the sunset and sunrises, took a dip in pool and fished from the beach. I like how there’s food delivery options and clear instructions on how to keep the house. Overall, It was very relaxing. Thank you. We will definitely do this again.

The cottage was even more charming in person than the pictures! Spotless, perfectly appointed, comfortable and the location was awesome. You can't get any closer to the water than this. I loved the outdoor space and ability to use the pool and beach area. Even though it's next to a marina it felt very secluded and private. Close to a couple waterfront restaurants and a grocery store, and only an hour from home even though it felt much further (in a good way). We were fortunate and had perfect weather with low humidity. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets... I will definitely book another stay!

We didnt have great weather and couldnt use the marina facilities but what a great time in the lovely cottage. For such a tiny darling cottage the four of us could have our space and our own window to see the sea. We could play, cook and read or play on our devices..room to be together or seperate. So my grandson took the tiny nook in the back upstairs, I took the twin nook by the stairs and my daughter and granddaughter took the king bed. We came prepared with games and devices and we not disappointed with the wifi. The ladder type stairs were no problem for this out of shape 69 year old either! Everyone must experience the beauty of a wild sea...love and respect it!

I had relatives stay here for my daughter's graduation weekend, and we had a family cookout here to celebrate. Everything was absolutely perfect. My dad is a master craftsman and he took great pleasure in scoping out every beautiful inch. More than once he mentioned to me how impressed he was with the workmanship that went into every detail. It was a fabulous rental from start to finish.

this is a very cute little retreat cabin. very nicely decorated. you can hear the water all night if you open the window. i enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the water during the day. bed was comfortable and i liked that there were so many windows and lots of light. easy to control the temperature. i would have liked a little more in terms of basics in the kitchen such as salt and pepper shakers, saran wrap, a few spices & condiments, etc.

If you're looking for a quick quite getaway this is a perfect cottage to use! They did a great job of fixing up the place to meet all your modern needs and comforts. I would check the weather and make sure the temps are above 50 but other than that it was a nice cottage on the water.

My husband and I look forward to our weekend stay at The Heron’s Nest every year. We’re here for work but finding this gem of a bungalow to stay in while we’re here makes it into a weekend retreat for two hard working parents. The bathroom remodel was an unexpected surprise and was beautiful. We can’t recommend staying here enough. I’ve already booked our stay for next year!

The location of this property and the amenities of the marina were just what we were looking for in a weekend away. Even though it is technically still winter, we had a sunny weekend, and the kids took full advantage of the outdoor spaces including the playground and the beach. The cottage itself is cozy and clean and our favorite thing was sitting on the couch in the morning and looking out the large windows. The views are something we are going to talk about for a long time.The beds in the loft are very comfortable, and the kids liked "camping out" up there. This is a great spot that feels like an escape while still being close to everything one could ask for. Communication with the owners was easy, helpful and so, so friendly. We appreciated the weekend so much.

This place is so well organized and designed. It's the perfect amount of space. A great little getaway for a couple or more, if you're willing to share the big open upstairs sleeping space. The view is gorgeous from all parts of the house.

This was our second visit to Heron's Nest. Love it there! We've only been there during the winter, and it is super peaceful and quiet. The cottage is adorable, comfortable and super clean. The bed is heavenly. You can sit on the sofa and watch the water for hours. Occasionally, you'll see ships or ducks go by. The sunrises are gorgeous! This time the weather was a bit warmer and we visited 2 local parks and my husband biked around the area. Can't wait to go back again.
