Enjoy the nice themed well maintained cozy cottage, we have 3 Bedroom, 1 full Bath and one 1/2 Bath, 2 story home designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. A must have! This property has off street parking for 2-3 vehicles. Relax or play in the spacious, fully fenced-in back yard, which includes a small deck, outdoor seating and BBQ grill. For the chef, an open concept kitchen and dining area that is well stocked with Lobster pots, Popover pans, and a few Maine family recipes sure to inspire! Enjoyed a stay here in December with our three kids. The location just steps away from a playground is awesome, and it is easy walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals all week, and the house was very clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend to other travelers visiting MDI!

This was a beautifully appointed house with all of amenities anyone would need or want. It reminded me of the house I grew up in and it felt like home right away. We only cooked one night, but the kitchen had everything. The laundry was great and we packed less knowing it was available. The location was great and we walked to town for dinner and shopping many times. It is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

The home is even better than pictured in the listing. It is immaculately kept and cleanliness is far beyond many properties we have stayed in. Lovely touches throughout - very charming aesthetic - and is well equipped with everything you need. Also a super convenient walk to downtown - perfect to get out for a morning walk for local pastries and coffee. Laura was also incredibly accommodating and responsive. We would absolutely stay at her property again!

Our family of 6 loved our stay at the Summer Salt Cottage! The home is immaculately clean, well stocked for guests, cozy yet spacious, the perfect walk to town, and a close drive to Acadia. Laura provided everything we needed and more. This was also our first time to Bar Harbor and Acadia and we had such a wonderful experience, we hope to return in the future!!

Great little house for a family getaway to MDI. Perfect location to walk into town but also convenient to the park road ,etc. Great size for a small-mid family. The house is immaculately clean and well stocked - Id say of 5-6 Bar Harbor VRBOs we have had over the years its probably the best stocked rental Ive seen - better stocked than the listing indicates in fact.

My husband and I stayed with our three teenagers at the Summer Salt Cottage. This is our second time vacationing in Bar Harbor. The first time, in 2021, we stayed in the downtown area. Although everything was at our doorstep, it was noisy and getting in and out with the car was a bit of a pain. When we saw the Summer Salt Cottage, we knew it was the perfect location...away from the hustle and bustle but easily accessible on foot. The house was nice and peaceful, very comfortable, and had everything needed for out of town guests. We slept well and had plenty of space when we needed some down time after adventuring. The Farmer's Market was around the corner on Sunday so it was a great way to fill the fridge and support the locals. We were so happy and grateful that Laura shared her home with us and went the extra mile to feel like you were home away from home. Ty Laura!

The Summer Salt Cottage was just right for our family. We loved being walking distance from downtown Bar Harbor but also a quick drive from Acadia. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our meals in. Highly recommended.

The house was excellent. So cute and well equipped for a weeks stay. As many reviews indicate, the house is so close to everything that we were easily able to walk everywhere. And it’s only minutes from Acadia. Laura ordered us a cooler to use during our stay since she didn’t have one already at the house. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

We love staying here in the late fall! The kitchen is well equipped for baking and cooking. It is just a short walk into the village where lots of unique shops and restaurants are located. It is only minutes drive to Acadia with all it has to offer. Such a comfortable place to stay!

The house is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and filled with every item you might need to feel at home. The location is perfect and Laura is a wonderful, thoughtful host. I will be back!

The Summer Salt Cottage was an excellent choice for our stay in Bar Harbor. Laura was very responsive, the cottage was immaculate, the location was walkable to all shops and restaurants in the Bar Harbor village and a short drive to Acadia National Park. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Laura’s house. The house is beautifully decorated, exceptionally well provisioned, and very cozy. (On a rainy day we baked the popovers with the mix she left as a welcoming gift, and we stayed in and read all day.) The house is centrally located so we were able to walk to dinner in the evenings. It was the perfect base for our visit to Acadia.

We loved our stay here, for our first visit to Maine. Upon arriving, you can tell the home is very well cared for, and is kept extremely clean. It had everything we could have possible needed. The proximity to town was great, too. It was very easy to walk into town, as well as easy to drive out of town. Our boys loved the park right on the corner, and even made some new friends. It felt very much like we were home. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We previously rented two vacation homes in Bar Harbor. The Summer Salt Cottage was by far the best of the three in all respects. Thanksgiving in Bar Harbor Maine
This house was perfect for preparing a turkey dinner with it's well equipped kitchen and comfortable adjacent dining area. It's just a short walk into town with it's many shops and restaurants. It's also just minutes away from Acadia National Park where we enjoyed an afternoon walk on Thanksgiving Day!
