Very nice cottage with a great location close to the center of town. We loved the wrap around porch and layout. Bernie was great to work with and we can’t wait for our next trip back to ogunquit.

The property is spacious, cozy and on a quiet street. The screened in porch is large with plenty of seating and probably our favorite spot. The beach and town is walkable even with kids but the hills do give you a great work out coming home. Bernie is sweet, friendly and very responsive if needed. We loved our stay.

Bernie’s house in Ogunquit was such a great place to call home for a week. It is roomy, cozy, and located close to downtown. The porch was a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and wind down from a busy day. The outdoor shower is handy for rinsing off after a day at the beach. My family and I had a great stay. Thanks so much! :)

Nice relaxing stay
Wrap around porch is the highlight of this property. It is well furnished and we spend quite a bit of time in the porch. Property is very close to town center (0.4 miles) and beach (0.7 miles).

Perfect Getaway
Everything about our stay, from the booking, to the accommodations, to the location was perfect. The house is exactly as advertised, fully stocked and more than comfortable for my husband and I to both work for a few days and also enjoy vacation time. We were close enough to walk to the beautiful beach, wonderful restaurants and shops but also tucked away for a quiet and peaceful stay. Bernie was a perfect host, providing a social distance walk through and a contactless check out. We will most definitely be back!

Cois Farraige was exactly as described. The wrap around porch was so comfortable, and we had all our meals there as well. We drove to the beach and parked at the first lot - $20 all day fee - because we had so much to carry, including our 6 year old granddaughter's gear. She managed to carry her boogie board. You can walk to the beach and my daughter, who was working from the house, usually walked down later to meet us. The ocean was unexpectedly warm.
Bernie was an excellent host and responded immediately to any questions we had. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues and Bernie came by within minutes and fixed it.
The outdoor shower is refreshing and the grill is excellent. With limited restaurant seating, due to the pandemic, and many visitors in the area, we were thrilled to have a comfortable, safe house in which to cook and enjoy takeout.

Great location and nice little house with plenty of privacy with EVERY need for the guest thought of in advance by the hosts. Loved the outdoor shower and the wrap-around porch, and as many have mentioned, the location is a 5-minute walk into the center of beautiful Ogunquit village with all of its shops, restaurants, nightlife and, of course, the beach!

Cozy, quiet and close to town!
We had a lovely time at The Irish Cottage during our week in Ogunquit. The house was more than well-equipped and we all had space to spread out. The jewel is the porch where we enjoyed a few meals, some cocktails and one of our teen sons enjoyed it as his “sleeping porch.” It was a hot week, but the ceiling fans and AC units helped to quickly cool things down. The outdoor shower was a huge plus for a post beach rinse-off. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and a 5-minute all down hill walk to downtown. We would recommend this spot for sure!

This was our first visit to Maine. We loved Ogunquit and this quaint house. Bernie is a terrific host. She personally greeted us on day one and walked us through the property. There is an updated kitchen and bathroom with all modern amenities like a dishwasher and enough kitchen gadgets to host a dinner party . The bathroom has a great tub/shower and there is also an outdoor shower. I loved the wide plank original floors and original door knobs to give it that authentic historical feel.
The screened in porch is where we had breakfast everyday and the sun just pours in. Let’s talk about the walk to town. The walk to town is lovely and only 5 minutes about depending where you want to go. The walk there is down hill. The walk home is uphill and was hard for my five year old but the rest of us enjoyed the walk. The Walk yo the beach is a bit further so I would recommend (and Bernie will too) that you drop off kids and beach stuff and drive back to walk without it. One day we did pay $15 to park down at the beach because we got lazy. Prices at beach vary from 10-$30 for parking.
We absolutely loved our stay. If I had to offer some constructive criticism I would say maybe the pillows could use some updating... but I like a fluffy feather pillow. Easily solved by bringing your own!
Bernie was also very very responsive to any question we had during our stay. She is lovely to work with.
Tip for families: bring all your own beach gear including boogie boards and big tube like floats to float down the river at the tide changes. We wished we knew that. Or they sell them at the beach and will blow them up for you.
Can’t wait to come back to Ogunquit!!

Irish Cottage By The Sea
It is not often that you come across such a warm, calm and charming place to call home for a short period of time. That is what we found as we spent The week in Bernie’s Irish Cottage by The Sea. It was all that a small family could have asked for. Impeccably clean, close to the shore, quiet, and a place that felt like home. Our family gives it five stars… And we look forward to returning in the future.

This cottage was just what we needed for the end of the summer. The weather did not cooperate, but it did not matter. I found many places in the cottage that became my reading nook and it was wonderful to be able to sleep with the windows wide open. At night you can hear the ocean and of course smell the pine tree. The cottage is very clean, and has everything you need already in it. Bernie was great to deal with and I recommend this cottage and location highly !!!!

My family of four stayed here for 7 nights. The location was perfect to walk to town/ beach. The house was very comfortable on a quiet street and had everything we needed. We were concerned that it might be too small with only two bedrooms but my son enjoyed sleeping on the futon bed on the enclosed front porch. Unlike other places we have stayed, everything was in good working order and well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

A breezy cottage by the sea
Our family of four stayed in Bernie and Mark's house for 9 days and loved it. Located on a quiet street--just a short walk from the excitement of downtown Ogunquit--the house was the perfect getaway. The wrap-around porch provided lots of sunshine and a wonderful breeze, especially in the mornings. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots, utensils--everything we needed to cook at home. Bernie is extremely attentive and helpful, even talking me through how to use the TV remote when I couldn't figure it out. I highly recommend staying here.

A perfect place to stay in Ogunquit!
Love this beach house. Spacious-clean house, huge porch, and walking distance to Ogunquit Center and Beach. The house is well stocked with linens, towels, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee pot, and all the amenities you would want. After a day at the beach, the outdoor shower is a must! The screened in porch is so refreshing in the morning and evening. It’s a great place to make a puzzle, relax with a book, and catch up on the day’s adventures.
The owners, Bernie and Mark, are so accommodating and very nice to work with. They really care about their beach house and want to be sure you enjoy your stay.
A perfect place to stay in Ogunquit!

Home Away From Home!
This review is a little delayed, as we stayed at Bernie's home in August. We couldn't have asked for a better week! First of all, Bernie was excellent to work with and incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. I had to change dates a few times, as this was a surprise getaway for both of my parents. Bernie was very patient and helpful with every question I had. The house was incredibly cozy and the decor was just beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing mornings on the porch and we had everything we needed to cook dinners in as well. A quick walk to town and an easy commute to the beach. I highly recommend Bernie's house, and we can't wait to go back! Thank you, Bernie!

Perfect Maine Vacation
We just returned from our family vacation in Bernie and Mark’s beach house! It was a wonderful week of sun and sand!
The cottage decorated with a beach theme and has everything you need (linens included!), including wicker furniture on the great enclosed wrap around porch. We played games on the front porch and had family dinners. And there were so many great spots to sit and read a book. Great outdoor shower out back...perfect at the end of a beach day!
The kitchen is well equipped and so pretty. It was great having our morning coffee on the porch in the wonderful neighborhood. We loved watching people walk by on morning walks with their dogs.
The house is in a perfect spot. We would walk to the beach during the day and downtown or to the Marginal Way at night for dinner.
I would definitely recommend the house. Bernie was so great to work with and very responsive to any questions that we had!

Amazing place for our annual visit to Ogunquit
Being our first rental experience, we weren't sure what to expect. This place could not have been better! First of all, Bernie was very responsive, patient, and informative throughout the process and welcoming when we arrived at check in. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy for my wife and 2 adult children. Everything we needed and more. Convenient to downtown Ogunquit and the beach (just a short walk to town). We would drive our stuff to the beach in the morning and come back to park here. That saved $ 30/day. We would highly recommend this property to anyone vacationing in Ogunquit and hope to return in the future. Big thanks to Bernie and Mark!
