Located in Brattleboro, this charming house for $155 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Built on the foundation of the original barn of an 1830s farmhouse, this cottage offers you 1,200 square feet of tranquility all year around. Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, ice skating, skiing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, golf, and, of course, fall leaf peeping is at your doorstep. Or venture no farther than the windows and skylights to view spectacular sunrises, wildlife, Vermont’s iconic moonlight, and stellar stargazing. Mount Snow (26 miles) and Stratton Mountain (32 miles) are less than an hour's scenic drive, and Brattleboro's Living Memorial Park offers a mini-ski lift for winter family fun. You’ll enjoy the open flow downstairs with a large kitchen, living room, and dining area. An office/study, equipped with a pull out queen-sized sofa for extra bed space, and a combination half bath/laundry room with washer/dryer complete the first floor. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms (queen and twin beds) with skylights and ample closet space bookend a large complete bath. Serenity Cottage offers plenty of privacy, with its own yard, framed by woods and a rock garden. A lily garden brightens the front, which also features original stone walls and century-old apple trees. Putney Road conveniences, I-91, and the enticements of Brattleboro are within minutes, yet remain a world apart. We're dog friendly.

Cottage felt remote but was in very close proximity to everything we came to see/do in Brattleboro. Was clean, serene, and warm for our winter weekend stay.

The serenity cottage is a really cozy stay. It was well stocked, is dog friendly near plenty of amenities and hikes. As a nice touch, it has plenty of puzzles to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay

We loved our stay at Serenity Cottage!! The house was actually bigger than the pictures look and for our family of 3 the size was perfect. We could have comfortably had 2 more guests in the downstairs den!! The location feels like it is super remote but it is actually quite close to town (grocery store and food trucks about 7 minute drive). The location is ideal for jogging as well. There are several beautiful loops and side roads to explore. The hosts were available as needed and we felt very welcomed and totally at home. We hope to be back one day soon!!

We loved our stay at the cottage so much! So incredibly quiet and peaceful. We all got super great sleep, which isn't always easy to do at rentals. Cottage had absolutely everything we needed, and more. Owners are super responsive and friendly. We will be booking more stays here for sure!

A cozy and relaxing getaway in Vermont. Loved secluded feeling yet still quick drive to activities. My only recommendation to guests is to bring eye masks for sleeping if they are sensitive to light. The sun shines into the bedrooms in the morning ( it’s beautiful but if you want more sleep you’ll be happy you brought an eye mask)

We spent 2 nights at Serenity Cottage with our small dog and loved the quiet peacefulness of the cottage setting but appreciated being a short lovely drive to the center of town. The location was ideal for us as we hiked in both the Brattleboro area and we were also only a short ride to a few gorgeous NH hiking areas— Chesterfield Gorge Wayside and Madam Sheri forest). Serenity Cottage had everything we needed and more. The bed was comfortable and the great water pressure of the shower eased our tired muscles! Although we only stayed for a few nights, the cottage was well equipped for longer stays. We hope to return and would highly recommend it.

The cottage was just perfect! Larger and even nicer than I'd anticipated. The property is well cared for and well appointed. It's only about 10 minutes from downtown Brattleboro, but feels very private and there is a waterfall on the way in off the main road! The bedrooms have huge skylights and the whole place feels roomy, bright, and cozy.

We needed a pet friendly stay while visiting relatives as they can't be boarded in a kennel. Absolutely beautiful cottage, nicely decorated, clean, peaceful. Cant say enough good about our stay!

We absolutely fell in love with your place! You had everything there that we could possibly need. We are also very happy that you allow the pets to enjoy a little getaway. We would like to stay there again sometime. I just wanted to point out that the ticks are crazy out of control and would suggest that you have the yard sprayed and/or treated in some way.

We have stayed at Vermont VRBO's many times. We don't normally come to the Brattleboro area, but we plan to come back to this corner of Vermont. This Cottage was PERFECT for us. It had everything we would need. During our stay it snowed 15" overnight. Our Landlord had us plowed out as soon as the snow stopped. Beautiful location, peaceful location. Thank you so much for sharing your place !

My friends, husband and I stayed at the cottage on our first skiing trip of 2023. The place overcame my expectations, and we loved staying there! We had such a good time. It was cozy and clean, and I highly recommend it.

We had an absolutely amazing stay - my parents, my adult brother, me and our pup. The house was fully stocked and we had everything we needed to cook and just live. It was beautifully decorated and felt very homey; it was really comfortable. Some homes you just feel more comfortable in and this was it. The property was also great, and everything was as expected! It did snow the first night and day we were there - it was gorgeous! But I do want to note that the road leading to the house (the house is about a mile from the main road) is a dirt road, is windy and a bit uphill (gorgeous though! Creek along the side, and a waterfall!). The road was plowed and we saw them putting sand down, though it did ice over. We didn't have major issues but it was sketchy at points. Just pointing this out in case you have a little sports car and are coming up in the winter! There was a snow shovel and ice melt outside the cottage door, as well as a safety vest and ice cleats inside. We loved it and would def come back! And Brattleboro is adorable!

Pretty cottage, great location, reasonably priced, pleasant owner, but we felt this time that the place could use some freshening up--new area rugs, for example, and a good, thorough cleaning. I hesitated to bring this up because we know that the labor market in Vermont is tight right now and good cleaning services can be hard to find.

The cottage was located close to downtown, but at the same time was quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very comfortable and well outfitted. The owner lives on site. He is considerate, helpful, and kind. My friend and I highly recommend this cottage.

This is a great place to explore Brattleboro and the surrounding area of Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and was very comfortable for us and our dog. The owners live on the property about 200 feet from the farm house, but you won't know they are there unless you need something. Our dog enjoyed exploring the property and chasing the local furry creatures. This is a wonderful place to stay and a great value for what you get.
