Wonderful place. Fantastic hosts. Beautiful location. Well situated, good restaurants not far away as well as a small and cozy supermarket. The beds were really nice, good TV and overall good experience. Clean and well maintained. Room for a lot of people, next time I will take more advantage of that.
The place could use proper air conditioning and the sofa and chairs in the living room could be better. The floor in the shower could use a little more slope. But these faults are very minor. I rate this place overall very high and we had a great, great time.

We had a fantastic stay at Lake View Cottage. Even though we arrived very late, our host was there to welcome us —and the homemade scones were such a thoughtful surprise after a long journey!
The cottage is in a wonderfully peaceful location, while still being an ideal base for exploring Connemara and its stunning coastline. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The house is spacious, cosy, and instantly felt like a home away from home. The bedrooms are large with plenty of storage, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need.
We travelled as a family spanning three generations, including elderly and disability needs, and the cottage worked well for all of us. It was comfortable, accessible, and met everyone’s needs.
If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay while discovering Connemara and beyond, Lake View Cottage is hard to beat. We made some wonderful memories and would happily stay again.

Le logement est propre, spacieux avec 3 lits doubles confortables. Grande douche, 2 WC. Cuisine bien équipée. Des jeux sont à disposition.
Compter en voiture 45mn de Galway et 45mn de Clifden (début du Connemara).
Vraiment pas grand chose-)...
Comme c'est isolé, il ne faut rien oublier en courses...mais une petite épicerie de dépannage est à 6km.

The location is very picturesque but quite far from amenities and places to visit. The kitchen has good facilities in it.
It is not a full house. You are renting the ground floor of a bungalow with people staying upstairs. We could hear them moving around and this made our children very uneasy. We paid €1000 and were very disappointed to discover this. This was not made clear in the details of the property at all. It appears in searches for entire houses and the property details state detached house. Only when booked, did it say apartment. The wifi only works in living room and stopped working completely after 5 days. The hot water isn't very good in bathrooms or kitchen. Needed to boil kettle.
