Nestled in Ventura, this charming house for $300 per night is a great option for your next break. VENTURA CITY PERMIT NO. 2267 Purple Moon Seabreeze Cottage is a beautiful historic Victorian bungalow located three blocks from downtown Ventura. We offer a queen-sized bed, king-sized bed and air beds are available upon request. This is a full sized home complete with washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, televisions in both bedrooms and living room, back deck with barbecue in the back yard and a front porch area for sitting and admiring the view of the mountains and quaint architecture of Ventura. We have quick access to the beach. It is about a four block walk and there is a bridge to get you there faster, if you prefer. Downtown has lots of shopping, restaurants and a movie theater which shows ten movies. It is all within walking distance. We have an old-fashioned claw foot bathtub that comes with a shower head on it. We have a nice front and back yard for you to enjoy. Our front porch is an exceptional place to be during the parades. We have quite the view, too. Our home faces the beautiful mountains and homes across the street, which are really pretty to look at. Ventura is a lovely coastal city and the vibe is very laid back and the home is very comfortable. We have a piano for you to play. There are board games and yard games that are provided. We have internet and cable too!!

Had to make an emergency trip to Ventura as our 43-year-old son died unexpectedly. Dee was spectacular. She made us feel welcome and the angels in her home helped us get through the first few days . . . . more to come, but we sincerely appreciated her support during this difficult time!

Dorothea was an amazing hostess. Hurricane Hilary was on it's way and she kept in communication with me to let me know she was available should anything happen. The vibe of the house was so comfortable and relaxing. We spent our evening out on the front porch enjoying the weather and dinners on the back deck. This adorable historic cottage is situated right at the edge of the pedestrian area of downtown; as such it was easy to walk to everything, but we were pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful it was especially at night. Parking was never a problem. It was so much fun to stay here we will definitely be back! Owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome.

We LOVED this place ! Dee was just the best to work with and went above and beyond when the website wasn't working for our booking. And the house? OMG, the HOUSE! It was really everything we'd hoped it would be and MORE! Not only is the decor eclectic and fun, there's a piano and board games to make it even more fun! Fourth of July was the perfect time to rent this home because the annual parade came RIGHT PAST the house. We just had to walk out front and sit down. The beach is more of driving distance, but we were able to ride scooters down and around the walking path. My teens said how comfortable the beds were. The downtown areas is just blocks away, a super easy and safe walk. I felt safe as a single person here with my kids. Definitely rent this place!

The purple cottage was purely adorable. It's clean, spacious, and located very close to all the restaurants, and even the San Buenaventura mission. It was delightful to be able to walk around. Thank you Dorothea, for being such a wonderful host.

We enjoyed our stay at Purple Moon. Very close to shops and downtown. The host was easy to talk to. Check in was easy. The place was clean and as listed. Our 5 year old son had fun in the mini rocking chair. We loved walking the neighborhood. It was a charming time.

I was unable to arrive as planned due to the Southwest mess Christmas Day. I messaged Dorothea explaining my dilemma. She called me & told me “No worries “ ! She assured me I have my original reservation to complete whenever I want to come. I look forward to meeting her in person very soon!! She has me rebooked for a Spring trip to Ventura!! I will be reporting back on the property then.

I stayed here for a night with friends and adored the house. We spent most of our time out of the house enjoying the neighborhood because the location was incredible. Everything is within walking distance: the beach, downtown, breweries, restaurants, etc. Overall, great experience, highly recommend.
