The location is good. 750 meters from the beach.
It felt "abandoned". Very old and dark, with furniture and appliances from a few decades ago. They try to hide the smell with perfumes and they use so much perfume that you need to open a window in order to let some air in, so you can breathe. But in the end, you get what you pay for. If you're only interested in a place where you can take a shower, go to bed and then immediately leave in the morning, the place is great!

I chose Hotel Scala for its location, whilst visiting Constanta for charity volunteering. I was looking for somewhere clean and comfortable, and it was both. There’s no restaurant at time of writing this, but I knew so before I booked. There are good restaurants nearby. I wouldn’t stay there for a holiday with my wife, but I honestly can’t fault it, and I would stay again when I next visit Constanta for a volunteering trip.
No safe in room. Not a big deal, but would be a nice-to-have. Furniture and bathroom were a little dated, but nevertheless clean so again not a significant issue.

Great location, loved they had an elevator. The staff was super nice and great!
Rusty bathroom, ancient rooms, and it stank. Not worth the price, but we were limited with options late at night arriving.. parking also sucked. Said there was some, but was all taken?
