Nice area, watched kite surfing. Great restaurant at the hotel, but also other options within walking distance. Family owned hotel…. The staff was the BEST.

The location is great—not far from the ferry pier. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main road with the night market and restaurants. The lodge is right on the beach (although it can be windy in January and February), and the sunsets are amazing.
There is a pool and a restaurant on site. They also offer taxi service from the pier and to the Full Moon Party. Pool towels are available to borrow. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly :) they have also lot of cats so keep it in mind, if you have an allergy.
We paid 33,000 baht for five nights in a bungalow. It was January and we booked only a few days in advance, but it still wasn’t worth the price. If you can find a cheaper rate or if other types of rooms are available—perhaps after the renovation—then the experience might be different.
When I asked second day if we can get more water, I was told that usually it's just 0,5l water/person/stay... "welcome drink". eventually we got it as an exception, but... no comment. So for rest of the stay we just bought our own.
There was almost no bedding, just one large towel per person (no face cloths or hand towels). There was a kettle, but no coffee or tea—you have to buy that yourself. The shower next to the toilet was fine, as that’s standard in Thailand, but the water pressure was very low, so it was actually easier to use the bidet shower. The bathroom door was hard to open. One window had actuall bars. A bit prison view while brushing your teeth. Also no windows in bathroom, literally holes in the wall. Sometimes there was no staff present in the restaurant. It’s better to book the stay without breakfast. The money you pay for it is then given to you as a daily/room budget and you can order from menu but sometimes it's not conveniet to use the full amount. Also, there are places nearby where you can get breakfast.
