I stayed for work and booked as I wanted to use a washing machine and dryer.

I Booked the property late and There is a 48 hour ruling to contact the owners for the keys collection. I didn't contact the owners with 48 hours notice as I booked the property late. on the day I was supposed to be occupying the property I turned up at the property at 1600. The property I tried the side door as I recognised the washing machine from the Booking .com photographs. The door was locked. There is no phone reception at the property so I drove to Diss where there is phone reception. I messaged the owners and called a number of times. I was just in the middle of booking a hotel when I received a text from the owners telling me that the door to the property is always left open and the keys were in the property. It is disappointing to be on my own having to wait in another town to get access from the property. If the property was always left open with the keys inside. The door to the property was a communal washing machine and dryer area which was not stated on booking .com so I automatically thought the property was locked.

no phone reception Trying to get into the property, get hold of the keys was not acceptable. There should be better communication from the owners about the fact that the property is always left open with the keys inside particularly as there is no mobile phone reception. The photographs of the washing machine and dryer suggested that they were inside my property and it does not state on Booking .com that the washing machine and dryer was in a separate and was indeed communal.. The only reason I booked the property was to use the washing machine and dryer so it was disappointing to find out that the property did not have the facilities inside. When I arrived at the property, Once the owners managed to return my calls I parked in front of another rental property to unload my car. As soon as I got out of my car a woman ran towards me telling me I could not park my car there. I stated that I was unloading my car. I went to open my property to load it up..... and there was a knock at the french doors and a very grumpy looking man was stood outside. I opened the door to ''You cant park your car there..................... ''. So no friendly faces when I arrived at the property, which made me feel unwelcome.
