We spent Christmas at the cottage and the location is beautiful, quiet and on a farm so plenty of animals around. It exceeded our expectations and we were blessed with seven days of sunshine, crisp days and no clouds. The cottage is very spacious, comfortable and cosy and we had no trouble cooking Christmas dinner for the seven of us. There were plenty of walks from the front door to enjoy the amazing scenery. You can also walk to the local village of Broughton in Furness which has a butcher, bakery and a couple of coffee shops and pubs. The cottage has a hot tub , an added bonus, great for sitting in at night and enjoying the star gazing just amazing. We explored the local area, lakes and beaches which are all fairly easy to get to. Coniston was very pretty and we enjoyed Ulverston too. We would definitely like to return. The hosts were great and just left us to get on with things but were at the end of a mobile if we needed anything.

Peaceful and comfortable stay at Moss Side Farm Cottage. Loved seeing the animals everyday and the friendly greetings from the resident dogs. Idyllic views of the horses from the back door. Spacious and well equipped cottage. Good location to explore the lakes or you can just stay on the farm and enjoy everything the cottage has to offer. Friendly owners nearby.
A small issue with the flys coming in the kitchen, which is normal in summer. Maybe something to help deter them or fly screens for the doors.

Lovely cottage
Not really safe for my daughter who is autistic, fell a few times.
A lot of flys and dust about.
The kitchen didn’t have enough work space and extension cable and wires on show. The cupboard bear the back door had a massive nail sticking out of the door once opened.
