We loved the location of the property, it is set near to the woods but only a 5 minute walk away from Church Stretton. You can walk to Cardingmill Valley and the Long Mynd from the cottage. We didn’t use our car during our stay, we took the train to Ludlow & Leominster.
Only a minor point we found the bed quite soft but that’s personal preference. It wouldn’t stop us from staying there again.

Amazing location in its own private “cove” nestled under Rectory Wood path, against the foot of The Long Mynd.
Very comfortable, very tranquil, very serene, and yet a 2-3 minute stroll to the Square and shops/eateries/ pubs, etc
10-12 minute stroll to the train! Short drive to beautiful places!
Our hosts were splendid-lovely folks!
If this were my property, I should provide a few more basic amenities: kitchen paper, tissues, perhaps cooking oil and some basic seasonings and spices?
The kitchen utensils are at the end of their life also: knives very dull, teflon worn out (not really important, but we rarely if ever go out for meals!).
And (if mine) I’d probably go nuts with a pressure washer and leaf blower on the exterior!!! …’cuz I’m nuts!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. We would highly recommend booking this property for a peaceful, cosy stay but with the added bonus of being within easy reach of the town centre (for a great choice of shops, restaurants and pubs) and direct access to fantastic walks in the Stretton Hills.
