About this cottage rental
Situated in Ray Brook, this lovely cottage for $150 per night is a great option for your next break. Our cottages are clean and well kept. Situated on 3 acres, surrounded by forever wild state land. We offer free wi-fi, cable, fire pits, and grills. Conveniently located between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Come see why our guests return year after year ! Open May - October. Sorry, no pets. The space: Cottage #8 was completely remodeled in 2016. It has a queen size bed and a pull out twin sleeper sofa. It has a kitchenette with coffeemaker, microwave, and small refrigerator. Please note there is no stove. We are a family business that takes pride in our property. We keep our cabins CLEAN and well maintained. We live on the property and will be here to answer any questions you may have. We are only 5 minutes in either direction from Lake Placid and Saranac lake. We are right off highway 86 but our property is quiet and peaceful. Guest access: We have free Wifi spread throughout the property. Our guests say the speed and signal strength are very good no matter where you stay. There are communal gas grills , Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, fire pits , and horseshoes all free for our guests to use. We sell firewood on the property as well. Parking is plentiful and free. There is a gas station within walking distance that carries groceries, sandwiches, beer, ice , etc. Interaction with guests: We are always on the property to answer any questions you may have Other things to note: Moreno's cottages was founded by Tessie and Tony Moreno in1923. Uncle Tony built this property by hand over the years and Aunt Tessie ran the business with discipline and hard work. The Drake family, with 2 parents and 4 teenage children, is the newest owner of this historic vacation destination. Todd & Leigh work constantly to make changes or additions to the property to make our guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

It is what it looks like. A charming place to stay that is quiet, relaxing, easy to get to, close to town, but far enough away, simple, and although there are several cabins, it is also very private in each one. There is also a gas station/convenience store that is very near by which had quick things we needed and even fresh salads to eat on two occasions. We found being here more relaxing than if we had found a hotel in the area. The process was seamless from booking to check-out. The hosts checked on us to make sure all was well, but were not overbearing. I would highly recommend staying here if you have plans to stay in this area. We stayed here because I competed in Ironman Lake Placid. It was easy to get in and out of town for the various goings-on, so if Ironman Lake Placid is on your calendar, staying here is a solid option.

Great place to stay
Cabin was great. Met the owners. Were very helpful with anything we needed.
My only issue was I thought the towels would be changed out each day but they were not. We only had one set of towels for two nights.
