Beautiful historic building surrounded by gardens. Friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. Rooms are very spacious, classic with a modern twist. Fine dining restaurant on premise allows for an upscale experience. We stayed here after visiting Giethoorn (20 min drive) before heading further North to Bourtange (60 min drive) and Groningen. Great overall stay.

The shower,the bathroom, the wide space in the room
Beacuse of the old structure of the room, the sound of the cleaning service in the room above ours was heard loudly and was disturbing in the night time and early morning

Lush surroundings and garden. Good parking. Spacious room. Good breakfast.
Room was in the attic without daylight with basic equipment (e.g., no fridge). Restaurant aspires to haute cuisine offering mini portions at exorbitant prices. The whole place is a bit pretentious and over the top. Maybe interesting as a venue for a business retreat.
