The reception staff were very friendly. The room was nice and we were at the highest point in Santorini so there was no one looking down on our balcony.
Everyday there was something imperfect about our perfect trip. The coffee machine didn’t work. The lid flew off when we tried to use it. We told reception who said the nespresso machine was designed like that. It wasn’t.
We got this room because of the hot tub on the balcony. On the third day the tub temperature was set to so hot you couldn’t even put your hand in it, so we weren’t able to use it.
The breakfast was nice but the prosciutto on the second day was off. It was grey and smelt very bad.
There was no WiFi access on the balcony so when you wanted to relax there you couldn’t use your phone.
We came in from dinner one night to find our room hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was unmade, used beach towels on the balcony and dirty coffee cups. We decided to go to bed. The maid came to clean our room at 11pm. When I asked why she hadn’t come earlier, she said she was busy with so many rooms. The hotel only has 33 rooms and at that price you would think they would make an effort to clean them all before 11pm.
There were many other imperfect features of our room on what was supposed to be a perfect holiday that would mean I would not recommend spending your money with this chain of hotels. The manager seemed apologetic and said she would email to apologise but it’s been nearly a week and we haven’t heard anything.
