We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We loved to see that this parador was similar to a US roadside motel, but a lot fancier with a sturdy structure and interesting architecture.
A lover of gazpacho and other cold soups, I tried their garlic soup at dinner, and I didn't like it at all. The restaurant staff, for some reason, was not as friendly as the staff we met at the other paradors and many restaurants on our stay in Spain.

This is the perfect hotel for a stop-over whist driving the length of Spain from the UK. Not that it wouldn't be for a longer stay either. A wonderful "oasis" within a very arid region, complete with a truly luxurious swimming pool. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, complete with a balcony projection with table and chairs to privately enjoy the views of the grounds which are enormous and very pretty. Staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. We chose to eat in the bar/café facility rather than the restaurant, where an all-day menu is available in the former and had the most incredible Iberian ham, egg and chips! On our overnight stop list next year for sure! For other's, with regard to the pool, as we understand it, this is only open during the summer season given the law requiring a permanent on-site lifeguard.
We found nothing that would warrant any negative comment. A super hotel.

We asked for a coffee in the morning. The staff seemed annoyed by our request, but said ok, we could by one in the restaurant. Then, when we asked the restaurant, they also said ok. After waiting for over ten minutes for somebody to actually attempt to give us a coffee, we decided it was not going to happen and we left.
