Wow! What to not like! We stayed in one of the turrets and were able to wander around the top of the castle. It was magical!
It is perfect. Ok, the pool isn’t heated but that doesn’t seem to be a thing in Europe

Beautiful parador right in the heart of Zafra with restaurants a few minutes walk away. The entrance hall is stunning and the pool is a good size. Free street parking nearby too.
The standard room was a bit dated. Small windows with no views.
