One of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. A gorgeous, spacious top-floor room, big comfortable bed, big windows with sea views all round. Will definitely be back! All staff very nice, especially the ladies at breakfast.

Stunning building from the 1880’s, full of history and glamour. I stayed for one night, but I wish I’d stayed more.
The swimming pool has the most beautiful view to the bay and the port of Livorno.
I had dinner at Mascagni Restaurant, on the rooftop, and it was amazing. The food was good, great atmosphere. Staff is very polite and friendly, specially the hostess Fabiana.
Breakfast was also impeccable, with a huge range of options.
And the cherry on top was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco they left in my room when I came back from the swimming pool, that’s was really appreciated.

Beautiful building and great location. The staff is genuinely polite and professional (and charmingly loud in true Italian style!). Dinner was also decent.
We paid over €600 for 3 nights. We weren't expecting high-end luxury at that price, but basic standards should still apply.
Misleading booking: Paid for a sea-view room with a balcony, but got NO balcony. Reception claimed balconies are assigned "randomly" (not stated on Booking!). Offered a room switch the next day, but facing the back.
Dated & dusty: Beautiful 1884 building, but the room had ancient dust, broken TV remote, faulty outlets, and horribly dirty hallway carpets.
Dining: Restaurant tries to feel fancy (despite plastic chairs), but breakfast was weak for a 5-star label.
Parking: The attendant outside with the clipboard was very insistent in suggesting we park our humble Fiat 500 in the back while luxury cars stayed up front (might have just been a language gap, but felt a bit odd).
