Good location. Clean.
The breakfast was looking great, but poor quality of the products.
Also fair variety of gluten free items, but there exist better products on the market!

It’s annoying to have to pay some charges like breakfast or electric charging with your card instead of being able to charge to your room.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is convenient, and the staff provided good service throughout our stay. Very good breakfast was offered.
Unfortunately, there were several aspects that did not meet our expectations. The food was acceptable, but considering the Van der Valk reputation, I expected a higher quality dining experience. We had also booked a meal arrangement that was promoted via email with a discount, but this offer was not honored during our stay. The financial aspect is not the issue for us, but it is disappointing when advertised offers are not respected. If an arrangement is promoted, guests should be able to rely on it being available.
The biggest disappointment was the wellness offering. The Booking.com presentation create the impression that the hotel has its own spa and wellness facilities. In reality, the well-known Thermes de Spa wellness center is a separate facility, requires an additional fee, and is located nearby. This was not clearly communicated on the Booking.com page. The hotel itself only has a small sauna in the gym area, where swimwear is required, which is very different from what most people would consider a true wellness experience.
Had this been communicated more clearly before booking, we would likely have chosen a different hotel. While the room, location, and service were good, the misleading wellness expectations and the issue with the meal arrangement left us disappointed overall.
