Center Parcs Vossemeren

The location was tranquil and the lakes were beautiful. I liked the jungle setting in the communal areas and all the shops especially the flat white take away coffee which was very good. Also I thought it was a wonderful experience for my grandchidren too.

A little washing up liquid could be provided along with the dish-waher tablets. For the price I paid, I did not like having to strip the beds and emptying the bins.

We had a pleasant family stay at Center Parcs. The room was nice, clean, spacious enough, and had everything we needed. We also appreciated that it was dog friendly. The territory is beautiful and well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

On the downside, it was a 10–15 minute walk to the water park and reception. Most extra activities required additional payment, which added up quickly. During the weekend, the water park was extremely busy and crowded, making it difficult to relax and fully enjoy the experience.

I rarely write negative reviews, but the level of unprofessionalism we experienced at this hotel makes it impossible to stay silent. Everything started upon arrival at 21:00 after a long and exhausting journey. At check-in, the receptionist didn’t even bother to properly check the system and, in a dismissive and indifferent tone, told me that I had no reservation. Only after I insisted and showed my confirmed Booking reservation did he suddenly “remember” it. An unacceptable first impression. The situation escalated the following evening. We had been away all day attending a Taekwondo tournament and returned late, only to find that the bicycle and golf cart rental services were closed. This is critical, as our cottage was located at least 1 km from the hotel entrance. We had athletic equipment in the car and, more importantly, a person with us who was physically unable to walk that distance. When I approached the entrance, the security guard rudely refused access, stating bluntly that “these are the rules” and that he did not care how we would transport our equipment or assist the person who could not walk. His tone was aggressive and completely inappropriate. I then went to reception to explain the situation, expecting at least a minimum level of understanding or professionalism. Instead, I was met with the same indifferent attitude: “These are the rules, I don’t care what you do, the car is not allowed inside.” This, while there were clearly dozens of other guest vehicles already inside the premises. To make matters worse, the same security guard spoke in an equally unacceptable manner to another Taekwondo team returning at the same time. Their team leaders also came to reception, trying to find a reasonable solution. We asked to speak with the manager, and what followed was honestly one of the most absurd experiences I have had in all my years of traveling.
