Dois Lagares is a truly wonderful place to stay. We took the train from Porto to Pinhao and Dois Lagares is close enough from the town (where the train station is) so you can walk (if you like to walk.). Dois Lagares is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax to take in the beauty of the Douro Valley. The vineyard is so beautiful and is managed by Bruno(who we met) and his brother. They are the 5th generation! Bruno gave us an informative tour of the vineyards and afterwards we enjoyed a tasting of their delicious wines in their unique (and very cool) tasting room. Bruno and his Mom, Amelia, were so friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome! Our room was simple but nicely decorated. It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast each morning(which was included.) Another pleasant surprise was the small swimming pool on top of one of the terraces in the vineyard....there's an awesome view of the Douro River. We really enjoyed everything about our stay at Dois Lagares and we would stay there again if we ever return to the Douro Valley!

Amazing location and beautiful area. I wish we had stayed longer.
The only issue was that the shower was poorly designed and flooded the entire bathroom. We cleaned up the mess, but it really needs to be redesigned to contain the water. Used the Google Maps link and it took us to the wrong location.

Great location. A short walk from town and the train station. It’s a small boutique hotel with only 4 rooms so very quant and quiet. I lived the little balcony which was nice to hang out on the property and drink a glass of wine to watch the sunset.
The bed was a little too firm for my taste.

It is very basic. Also next to a road, which you dont see on the pictures. Also not a social place. You have a quick check-in get the codes of the doors and that is it. Also lacking some simple coffee or tea options in the room. Also no feeling of the being at a winery at all.
