Huge atrium at the entrance. Very impressive. You don't have to pay to enjoy the breeze and sights there. Room was sizeable and I love the bed. It was very comfortable. TV interface and entertainment was OK. I got a room with a view, so I was happy with that.

For a 5-star, the room was severely lacking in amenities. Is it too much too ask for a bath robe? There is only 2 cups to drink from. So if you have coffee or tea, you cannot have water at the same time. Come on, even 4-star hotel will provide me with cups for beverage and glasses for water and at least a set of bathrobe. You can improve the facilities in the hotel to attain 5-star but this hotel is still struggling to deliver the 5-star service. For eg, when I went for breakfast, the guy at the door just ask for my room number and then walked away without a single word. He was not taking me to my table but he went somewhere to the kitchen. He only came back to me half an hour later at my table to inform me that the buffet will be closing in 15 mins. No smile, no warmth, it was as though he was unhappy servicing guests. He wasn't the only one. When I was looking for someone to do a fresh roti canai, I couldn't anyone at the station. Same with the egg station. Breakfast seems to have a wide variety until you take a closer look. It wasn't for the lack of food or variety but for each type of food, there lacks depth. For eg, nasi lemak was just the basic. No fried chicken rempah. Nasi dagang was with the gulai tongkol, nothing else. Dim sum has just a red bean bun and one bean curd roll. You can the drift. I would preferred if they cut back on the variety of food but provide a bit more depth for each type of food. Check out experience could be better. There were two persons at the check out counter and no one in queue. Instead of greeting me with a smile and asking for a minute, I was made to wait till they bothered to look up. Come one, folks. You are now a 5-star hotel. At least try to behave like one. I paid more than RM900 for one night. Was it worth it? I would say a resounding NO. I am happy to stay at Timur Bay nearby.

Love the kids club, the pool and the gym. I like how the kids club are huge and it has lots of activities. The breakfast was good too, plenty of choices!
