Brilliant 3 star hotel, the grounds, pool and staff were wonderful and the whole place had a warm and relaxing feel. Gorgeous views of the coastline and Koh Phangan from the pool bar area. Room was spacious and comfy and it was great value for money. Maybe a little dated, but for what you're paying it was more than acceptable. The area the hotel is situated in is a little quiet in low season, but still had a number of bars and restaurants open. Other areas with a bit more going on are only ten minutes away by taxi - we really loved the White Market which is open each night and had a mix of locals and tourists visiting. If you don't want to use a taxi and don't have a bike rented then P and T hostel's restaurant a few mins walk away was also great for cheap but delicious food and cocktails and friendly staff. Hotel is about a one minute walk from the pier where you get the ferry to Koh Phangan which is really convenient.
At the hotel we really appreciated the help of Paulo when our AC unit started leaking in the middle of the night. He immediately let us have access to a second room to sleep in without having to move all our things, and the next morning the hotel communicated with us via message to find out the most convenient time for us for them to fix the unit, which they did really quickly. If we ever come back to this area of Koh Samui we wouldn't hesitate to book the Punnpreeda again.
The shower's water pressure was a little low, but it was still perfectly usable.

The hotel is very closed to the ferry to go to Koh Phangan.
The room size is large.
The room feels old and the TV was not even connected to the power.
It seems only one side of the AC is working and it was not very strong.
The room was close to the road and could hear road noise (lucky it is low season and only staying 1 night).
