We did not deserve, or incite the reaction we received at the hands of your server at breakfast, and that experience spoiled the entire visit which had been exemplary up to that point.

The location was excellent. The breakfast was very good, and the service was attentive and efficient. It was particularly busy on Sunday morning, but it was clear that the hotel had extra staff on hand to cope with the increased demand, which meant everything ran smoothly.
There is a pub next door, which was very noisy on the Saturday night and disturbed our stay.
We experienced some very hot weather during our visit and, on request, were provided with a fan. Unfortunately, the first fan produced very little air movement even when running on full power, so it had to be exchanged. The replacement was exceptionally noisy as well. This was eventually exchanged for a third fan, which was fine.
We also had one drink in the hotel bar. They did not have **three of our four first-choice drinks**, so we had to choose alternatives. The price was eye-watering, at an average of £9.25 per drink.
