Good value, comfortable bed, excellent bra breakfast. A good stop over on our way up North. A nice walk along canal from hotel. Friendly staff

easy check in, quiet location, helpful staff. plenty of parking, short walk to room. nice looking bar area.
shower was perfect. although too strong for the shower tray and overflowed onto the floor, which was the only small issue.
a couple more towels would have been helpful when staying in a family room.

Breakfast menu items very limited, 9am on a Sunday morning and had to keep waiting for hot breakfast items to be replinished, wasnt busy either so wasnt quite sure why this was. No sausages left so was substituted with awful looking vegan ones. No white bread left. No plates, glasses, milk or water out had to ask for these also was met by a huff and an eye roll from female member of staff. More interested in chatting to front of house than serving customers
Beds hard, pillows thin to the point of paper. Shower either scalding or freezing.
