We liked the location

The room was quite dark with hardly any power points, - no mirror and the bathroom was horrid. The was one power point in the bathroom which I had to move a lamp into to see in the mirror, no where left then to use a hair-dryer or straightener. We were attending a wedding and to get dressed and made up was quite difficult. Also when I booked I requested early check-in and stated the wedding as a reason. We had to wait for our room and finally got in closer to 2.30. It was disappointing for the price we paid. The carpets are tacky.

Staff lovely but property in need of TLC

The staff were the biggest asset of this property - always incredibly pleasant & helpful

Our room was available on check in which was appreciated. Later that day we used the shower and found there was only luke warm water. Fortunately arrangements could be made for an alternate room although the property was heavily booked. Whilst we appreciated the room change, the room was smaller and quite dingy with loose taps and fixtures in the bathroom. We had also booked a table for breakfast, as extended family were joining us, this was confirmed on our arrival. When we met at breakfast the next morning, there was no table in the breakfast area and a quick solution was to pop us in the bar area. Not ideal but appreciated, however I was disappointed as we had booked and confirmed. Lastly we had paid a very good rate for room as we had booked months in advance - room price was double for a family member who wanted to book last minute and in reflection of our experience, this would have not been money well spent.

A wonderful stay to celebrate my son's graduation from ANU and so close to all amenities, including

The food served at the bar was very good and the atmosphere there was welcoming, intimate and cosy. The lighting in the bar area was just right.

I was staying in Room 111 which is at ground level. Outside the room in the garden beds there was a lot of rubbish. This was a disappointing discovery and one I couldnt avoid if the curtains were open. It needs to be addressed on a daily basis.

Overall great but restaurant breakfast chef needs additional training

Location is great, property is clean and staff is very good and friendly!

Not a single towel rail to dry towels :( While Bicicletta' pizza was great for dinner and staff was really nice and knowledgeable, the chef has no idea how to cook poached eggs... We got tiny hard boiled eggs instead of good size runny ones.

Central walking distance to everything, The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, mattress and pillow not soft. I didn't sneeze when I entered the room . The food in restaurant was nice and the staff were very efficient and friendly.

I had a petite room which is the cheapest and fine for one person for an overnight stay but would probably be too small for a couple or for a longer stay however there are bigger rooms available

Great weekender and close to all the sites

Everything was great. Very comfy bed, nice art deco and loved the bar. Front staff were so lovely as well. Great customer service all round

Exceptional

Its a really clean hotel that has lots of historical character but is also modernised. I really liked the vibe. It's also really nice to be able to go the bar for a drink. Great atmosphere.

Three star, poor experiences, unhygienic, small rooms, stressful parking, SAD

Abigail on reception was lovely.

parking quoted at $19/night. I had to pay $72 for two nights- MISLEADING! Filthy dishes and glasses strewn all over the bar and on the tables within the bar. I watched how glasses were washed ( dipped in water” and polished and put away - gross! the rooms are tiny and NO UPGRADES for a Genius Level 3 - appalling! ! shower leaks with water all over the bathroom. door doesn’t seal so light shines through all night - poor sleep for two nights, The restaurant meal was sub par and does not represent value or taste, sadly the worst stay I’ve had in a number of years. it’s a three star hotel with LOTS OF WORK NEEDED to improve! Also my daughter fell down the bar steps due to poor lighting and now has a sore ankle. nobody came to her aid or asked how she was!
