Good location for the train station and city centre.
Room was clean and adequate.
Breakfast was straightforward with a good time range.
Nice to have drinks machines at breakfast.
Staff very helpful and seemed well organised.
Toilet door needed mending as it was sticking.
Carpet to stairs and lift area looking very tired.
Thought the hotel signage could be bolder. Hard to realise you had arrived at the hotel, especially if not using the car park.
Breakfast could be more varied and adventurous each day.

Kind staff, excellent location and car park. Simple rooms that are nice and cosy, good tv with selection of channels, heaters in room for colder days, which was needed. Bathroom did have a slight but noticeable drain smell when using the sink. Overall though, would stay again, especially if they sort the noise issue out. Asked for a quieter room prior to check in, perhaps this was overlooked and there are quieter rooms available.
Everything else is good but the noise in the hallway and constant banging of doors needs to be looked into. People loitering in corridors being very loud and doors banging constantly is extremely disruptive and makes for an unfortunate stay and disruptive sleep. Guests need to be reminded to think courteously of others, whether that is via signage or anything, equally constant door slamming needs to be looked into. Disappointingly, lift was also out of service during our stay, so we had to carry luggage up the stairs.

Quiet at night, clean, close to station and town (though little immediately around). The staff on reception and in the bar/reception are very helpful, professional and pleasant. The bar/lobby/cafe is modern and clean.
Carpets need changing, they feel a bit dirty. Nothing to do with cleaning - they are just old.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were small but had the essentials which you required. It was an easy walk into the city.
The bathroom was tiny and resembled ones found in caravans.
Breakfast was adequate. Cereal and toast was as expected but the hot buffet was limited and left out for long periods
