A great start to our first visit to South Africa.

All of the start we came into contact with were helpful and so friendly.

Excellent hotel, bedroom, reception and breakfast were probably the best we have ever stayed at.

We grew into the hotel, when we first arrived it felt like a “corporate” hotel, staff saying hello because they were told to rather than it being genuine. The hotel was fantastic, we had a room with a port view out of one window and table mountain out of another. The breakfast facilities are superb, the best we have encountered on our many travels.

The pool was cleaned spotlessly each morning and the attendant did a great job, there are a number of gulls that occupy the area and regular bathe in the pool or fly over. At one side of the pool there can be poop stains from the birds and some guests were also hit! We have visited other places that have taken a hawk around the poolside area and that has kept the gulls at bay, perhaps the hotel should consider something similar?

Das Hotel ist das Geld nicht wert!

Essen war gut, Zimmer geräumig, Lage super

Es hat aus der Dusche im Abfluss gestunken, die Flipflops, die man als „Geschenk“ bekommt, waren getragen und schmutzig, am Bademantel waren Make Up Spuren einer anderen Person, das Hotel hat eine gebuchte Tour vergessen zu organisieren, weshalb wir eine Stunde auf einen Fahrer warten mussten, in der wir keine Getränke angeboten bekommen haben und es wurde sich nicht einmal dafür entschuldigt. Stattdessen hat man und mit Ausreden gefüttert und im Minuten Intervall vertröstet. Dass wir deswegen nicht auf den Tafelberg konnten, was danach geplant und bekannt war, hat niemanden interessiert. Wir hatten nur den einen Tag in Kapstadt. Sehr enttäuschend. Und das bei dem Preis.

My family had a fantastic time at the hotel, we couldn't have chosen a better place.

The design of the entire place, especially the lobby. The room size is small compared to the balcony (which is huge), and the bathroom looks great. The staff is amiable and attentive to details. The breakfast is delicious. My younger son loved playing in the kid's room.

Everything exceeded my expectations.

Disappointing

Birds are so noisy, not possible to sleep at all. Bird’s poo is everywhere, very dirty.

Stellar customer service, beautiful property, great location on the waterfront! Very safe walking to and from the hotel and waterfront restaurants & shops.

The seagulls at the pool are a bit of a nuisance, though I'm not sure what can be done to mitigate their presence.

It’s beautiful

The staff/security are racists they told my daughter to move from the bar to accommodate white people. It’s disgusting if this is the attitude for One & Only then you will lose more customers. We can’t have this nonsense in 2022/2023. You need to address this asap. I suggest you get management to get hold my daughter or myself. We always stay at this hotel and disgusted as how my daughter was treated. White people are not superior and we pay the same amount.

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would choose to stay elsewhere.

I enjoyed the efforts of the Nigel and Tasch at the concierge to make up for the mishaps that happened in my experience as described below.

My trip started off quite bumpy as there was not a driver, as prearranged, to meet me at the airport and bring me to the hotel, which was stressful and hectic. Furthermore, when I arrived, I requested hangers for my room and it took a full two hours to receive the hangers. The service is very slow and although the staff did their best to make up for these grievances, the damage was already done and it put a really huge dent in the trip overall, which was disappointing considering how much I spent to be there. A hotel of this quality should be able to deliver a much stronger quality of service.
