don’t replace towels, only do every 7 days. Understand cleaning only every 7 days but towels could be replaced more frequently.

Location on the Esplanade was magnificent

Level I one bedroom suite with no balcony and kitchenette with no sink or running water was pretty poor. View was straight into roof of pub below. Room was clean but really tired. Would not return

The location of Paradise on the Beach is excellent, and our check in was friendly and polite. Unfortunately, that is where most of the positives end.

This is a very tired, outdated and poorly maintained property that feels as though it has been allowed to deteriorate without any meaningful investment or care. We were particularly disappointed to find that the spa was out of order during our stay, yet there was absolutely no mention of this in our booking correspondence or in any communication before arrival. If a facility advertised as part of the property is unavailable, guests should be told before they arrive. The pool was also noticeably murky, and the sun loungers were filthy. In particular, the adjustable backs and legs were covered in built up dirt and grime that looked as though they had not been properly cleaned for a very long time. Even the basics had been overlooked. The TV in our room wasn’t even tuned in, and the WiFi was poor. These are simple things that you would reasonably expect to be checked and working before a guest arrives. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was in a really poor state. The bath was cracked, old and peeling, the tiles were tired and deteriorating, and the bathroom door had clearly suffered from prolonged exposure to water and was actually starting to rot away. These are not minor cosmetic issues. They are signs of a property that desperately needs proper maintenance and refurbishment. Reception is barely manned, although the staff member we dealt with was perfectly pleasant. The bigger issue is the general lack of care across the property. What is particularly frustrating is reading the management responses to previous reviews, where very similar issues appear to be acknowledged with assurances that improvements are being made. Having now stayed here, it is difficult to see what has actually changed. The same problems seem to persist. The location is fantastic, and having a pool is welcome, but neither compensates for the condition of the property.
