Overall it was really good and I'm really happy about the breakfast.

Breakfast was awesome, also the staff there! Burnt my waffle and the really nice guy and the chef made me a new one and brought it to me to the table❤️ also the quality of everything was exceptionally good 😎☀️ thank you!❤️

Our room was supposed to have one big bed but it had only to beds put together and we noticed it when we were going to sleep and it wasn't nice to fall between the beds 🙃 . The bed issue was the only one that bothered us.

Good location, great breakfast. Good for motorcycles, ask at reception (or pre message) and bikes can be secured in underground car park for free.

Despite a pre booked room check in was chaos, no rooms available, waited 2hrs. ‘Please go away and come back later’ Breakfast good but avoid 0730/0800 as full of coach parties.

Good, but crowded hotel.

Comfortable and silent room. Fast elevator. Convenient place to stay while on a road trip. Breakfast included in the price.

Google Maps didn't show us the correct way to the hotel. The extra parking fee of 100 NOK for one night. The hotel was too large and crowded for my liking. Breakfast room was too noicy.

Good location, lots of lovely restaurants nearby. The breakfast is 10/10

Nice stay in Alta to enjoy some winter and northern lights

Good place to stay in Alta. It's located just in the center, in winter can see some northern lights just from the room. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options to choose from. Quiet at night.

Very limited cleaning during stay, usually only emptying garbage beans, towels were replaced only once during 5 days. Some renovation would be nice to make in the hotel overall. Price a bit high.

Very nice hotel and breakfast

Bed was very big and comfy, bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was great, as always when staying at a Scandic hotel. They had lotd of options, including gluten free and vegetarian, vegan and raw vegan. Fresh products, there were lots of tables so even when most people came to eat, you didn't feel crowded. We had to check out very early in the morning, so they were kind to provide a breakfast bag (you have to ask the night before).

Although we asked if they could provide vegetarian/vegan breakfast bag (and confirmed it was no problem), they mixed up things and only after we left, we realized we were given a normal breakfast (with salami, spread cheese&ham etc). Also, the food they gave is not that easy to eat on the go (you have to stop & spread stuff on your bread).

Some things to review...

The location is perfect, city centre just in front of the Northern Lights Cathedral. Shopping Area close to the Mall and all bars and restaurants are close by. Good connection to the airport with city buses ... The breakfast selection is very good and offers a great deal (including Vegan options). The staff is very friendly and helpful...

The information from the staff on facilities. We got access cards to the swimming pool, towels, geared up and when we arrived it was not available. At the reception no one knew the schedule. The breakfast is served until 10 AM over the weekend but, the staff starts removing the food at 10 AM...Which is not what you expect in a place like this. Hotel is not so recent and our bathroom smelled a bit of "old pipes"...

The room was in the older part of the hotel, where the sound insulation was not as good as in the newer part (dog barking for a couple of hours)

Fair for one night.

We arrived at 5:30 PM and the room was not ready. Reception did not even offer a soft drink while we were waiting. You could not swing a cat in the double room, there was hardly any space for our baggage. In the end the hotel charged 20 € less for the inconvenience. The hotel is frequented by tour busses and there was quite a hubbub in the breakfast room. The quality of the breakfast buffet was acceptable. Dinner choices and quality were unremarkable. Parking in front of the hotel cost 10 € extra per day because the parking lot is owned by the council. The hotel is located in the centre of Alta which oozes the charm of an eastern European shopping mall.
