Hotel Post Murnau

Charming family hotel. Good location. Excellent breakfast and I loved the daily information board about the weather and trips etc. The ladies on the desk were very helpful. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom

Nothing really. The beds are a bit hard for me. Towel changes seem to be a bit random.

Air conditioning in the room would have been a nice addition, but I knew that before I booked so no complaints

Superb location right in the pedestrian zone. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great. I loved our big room.

I was surprised that at this price, the rooms don't have mini fridges. I should have read the amenities more closely when booking.

The fact that when we arrived the hotel denied having a record of our booking or of having received the monies I had paid to Booking.com. This was extremely annoying as the hotel was apparently full. The proprietor was very helpful and found us alternative accommodation for that night, drove us to and from a restaurant. In fact it turned out that there had been a cancellation for the remaining two nights of our stay and so we accepted a room at the Hotel Post (smaller than the one booked and paid for) rather than staying in the alternative one which was out of town and inconvenient because we had no car. So far, Booking.com have been unable to provide any explanation as to what has gone wrong and the hotel has not volunteered any compensation. The room we booked - according to the hotel's own website - was considerably larger and also more expensive than the one we in fact stayed in. Somebody is at fault and should own up - whether it is the hotel or Booking.com
