La Roccia Wellness Hotel

I’ve stayed three different times and it’s a fabulous hotel. I’m only disappointed that the price has doubled , so I won’t easily return.

Overall, the hotel is beautiful both inside and out. The parking garage is convenient and accessible directly from the street; we had a low car and had no problems getting in. You can also access the hotel directly from the garage. The receptionist did explain the hotel facilities and personally showed us to our room, which was a nice touch and something very few hotels do. The pool and spa facilities are interesting. The room is well-equipped with plenty of complimentary amenities and personal items, including slippers, soaps and shower gels, a shaving kit, towels, and more. The view from the hotel is pretty. The sauna on the second floor of the spa was nice; big thanks to the man operating it.

Personally, I got a strange feeling from the staff and did not feel particularly welcome. This may be cultural, but it affected the overall experience. The receptionist did explain the hotel facilities and personally showed us to our room, which was a nice touch and something very few hotels do. The room was warm. They provided a fan, but there was no air conditioning. Some design choices also made the hotel feel less premium. The nature pictures behind glass in the rooms, hotel areas, and spa would look much better with a matte finish. The spa was the biggest disappointment. It is spread over two floors, but the first floor did not seem to be operational when we visited. All the saunas were at room temperature, and there were more showers than actual saunas or places to relax. There was also an unpleasant smell throughout the area. Better ventilation and a subtle natural scent would help. The relaxation room was cold and not relaxing. Since the first floor was not really usable, we went to the second floor, where the pool and one functioning sauna were located. Unfortunately, the infinity pool glass was dirty and not transparent, which ruined the view. Breakfast also needs improvement. The selection was limited, some items were empty, and some food did not seem fresh. Breakfast starts at 7:30, but the terrace is only available from 8:00.. When we went outside, there were many wasps, so several other guests and we had to go back inside. The spa closes at 19:30, which is far too early for a wellness hotel where the spa is one of the main attractions. It should stay open until at least 20:00 or 20:30. There are also some small rules and restrictions throughout the hotel, and together they create an unnecessarily strict atmosphere. You start to feel like you are constantly being told what you can and cannot do (judged) instead of simply being able to relax. The hotel has potential, but these details need attention to match its premium appearance.

View from the room is beautiful, loved that right away. They clean twice a day, which is convenient. The pool and sauna on the territory are nice, everything is in good condition.

No smart TV in the room, Internet is very slow. No air conditioning either, which was uncomfortable Breakfast is poor, minimal, nothing much there. Overall the hotel is okay, but they need to modernize the rooms to match their facilities.
