La Villa Mauresque

One of the best hotels ever. In September, when there are less guests. The plants, trees etc. everything green growing inside the hotel area was the best.

There was a tiny glitch with the inroom breakfast order where the order form says butter, jam, spreads, juice etc. are included but all we got were a few pieces of bread, no butter, no jam, no spreads, no nothing. We didnt complain tho because we had ordered stuff on the side (omelette and cheese plate) that kept us alive, and I am sure they would have brought the missing items immediately if we had said something. Another thing, not a complaint, just a recommendation: Have someone from the restaurant staff walk around the pool areas once an hour, this way guests can request something to drink by the pools. That person wouldnt have to actively ask the guests if they needed something (as not to disturb the resting guests) but at least show presence/walk around so that it would be possible to request something versus having to walk all the way into the restaurant to order something. Perhaps some kind of wireless bell mounted at every beach chair/lounger or something like that, that would eliminate the need for a waiter to walk around and waste his time but at the same enable the guests to request a waiter when needed. Those were my two thoughts/things. Everything else was topnotch, very close to perfect.

No bar. Hot tub was a little dirty (found a wipe in there yuck! Had to ask for beach towels

Sublime location lovely view across the bay local bars private port lovely to swim in. An excellent breakfast eggs were perfect which makes a change juice was freshly squeezed the fruit was fresh as was the bread

The plugs didnt work everywhere and the fit and finish of the rooms was good, but not good enough at this price point there was not enough tech either the location made up this the building is magnificent.

Beautiful location with views out to sea. Plenty of sun beds and chairs and the pools were easily accessible. Beach very pebbly but not a problem as we stayed on the premises. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Although classed as a 5 star property there was no bar and the bathroom was extremely small. Wardrobe and drawers in the bathroom made it very difficult. If you needed the toilet while someone was in the bathroom that made it even more difficult to manoeuvre.
