Novotel Nantes Carquefou

We stayed for one night in this hotel on our drive South, and it was exactly what we needed! Well located for an overnight stay, with a good sized car park, comfortable rooms and a good price. The swimming pool was closed when we got there but opened an hour later and was a nice way to cool off for an hour!

Very handy to the main route, great stop off on our way. Hotel itself clean, comfortable, very nice outside area and food excellent. Great parking for motorcycle out of sight of road and parked right outside the room. Rooms also generously sized and very clean and well presented.

Convenient location for overnight stay travelling north at the end of our holiday We had a very good evening meal in the restaurant and extremely good breakfast We would have liked to have used the pool which looked great but didn’t have time Staff were at all times very pleasant and keen to help

Check in took rather a long time especially as we were travelling with a tired and fidgety 3 year old There seemed to be a problem with some of the bedroom doors including ours which would only close fully by slamming them when exiting the room

The staff were all really lovely at the hotel and very friendly.

The hotel was tired and dated. Our room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) was very small. The room was dated and dirty. Our carpets had rips in it, stained spots in various patches and didn’t smell very nice. The cleaner was mopping the carpet? Most probably why. It was a damp dog smell and the hallway smelt like musty cigarettes. The bathroom was gross, not very clean at all. The shower was full of mould and the bathroom had a yellow stained tinge to it. Our fridge didn’t work at all during the 3 days so we lost all of the nice cheeses we had purchased on our trip in to the city & some dairy snacks we had bought for our children. The sofa bed for the children felt like it was broken. Various lights in the room didn’t work properly. The only positive thing we felt about the room was the quietness of the aircon.
