The location is perfect, right in the heart of Casco Viejo.
The bathroom is in the same space as the bed, so if you are not alone, it's not ideal.

The staff on reception were absolutely lovely. Very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room is fairly spacious with a generous sized bathroom. They included a kettle to make hot drinks and complimentary water which is always appreciated. I was also offered a discount on food from their restaurant or room service menu which I didn't get a chance to try it but that was a nice feature.
You can tell the rooms have been adequately cleaned, but the overall wear and tear does bring it's overall impression down. The carpets are very worn and stained. There were huge brown stains on the curtains as well. The hotel is very close to the main railway station but the direct area around the hotel felt somewhat unsafe. I would caution any other solo travellers to consider this beforehand.

A/c was very good. Hotel staff was nice.
Room was too tight. Around the hotel dirty smelly streets . Felt like people pissed everywhere in the streets around the hotel. A lot of cheap dirty food around the hotel.
