A very impressive building with views over Cologne. Located within reasonable distance of the Cologne metro for easy transit into the city. We enjoyed lunch, dinner and breakfast. Both of which were excellent. Our suite was spacious and had very high ceilings and windows that opened (luckily).
This hotel has chosen to provide very limited service. No porter to help you unload your bags. A very long wait to order lunch as the server was on a break. No staff available in the Spa area (no robes provided in our room). No one to answer our telephone calls to reception. All of this was very frustrating as we needed assistance to fix the WiFi in the room and to get the air conditioning to operate (broken during our stay). With the correct staffing levels and maintenance this could be a superb hotel.

Fantastic hotel with excellent staff, service and facilities. Beautiful baroque ambiance with modern trimmings. Try the tea (and everything else), it's amazing!

Old Mattress, with a big dent in the middle. Which is absolutely not acceptable for a Hotel like this. Room noisy. I called reception a few times. nobody answered the phone. I asked to get a back out of my car, which took 45 min. I was already on my way to reception to complain because nobody answer the phone, when the concierge finally was also on his way to my room
