The reception staff were well-trained, polite, friendly and efficient. The spa and pool are spacious, although the steam rooms were not in use because of corona restrictions.
The dining room staff were not very attentive or flexible, and lacked any charm. One expects better treatment in a 5* hotel. Fortunately, on our second day, the restaurant manager was in attendance and was much more welcoming and helpful. We were particularly disappointed to be told that both the dining room and the brasserie were fully booked for dinner, only to see that both were no more than 25% full. Despite corona restrictions it must surely be in the hotel's interest to accommodate as many diners as possible. It did however seem that there was a lack of flexibility and initiative with whomever was responsible for taking bookings.
