This is a very charming hotel that has a real sense of going back in time. They should make more of a feature of its age.
Really friendly and helpful staff.
The online check-in. It feels very impersonal and creates a poor first impression.
Although it's age has a certain charm, the hotel does need some TLC. I came across quite a few things in need of fixing.

Location was great, 5mins from Train Station
It‘s an old Hotel close to Train Station without modern facilities such as an escalator, would def need a Renovation/clean up

The day reception staff person was lovely, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room was freshly cleaned, spacious and comfortable.
The evening reception person was grumpy and everything seemed too difficult. The room didn't have any coffee facilities or even a jug to boil water, and certainly no refrigerator.. The day reception person allowed us to put a few things in the kitchen/bar freezer, but that became quite an issue to retrieve them later with the evening reception person. Again the day reception person boiled the kitchen jug for us to put some water in a thermos We didn't know how to check out as we wanted to leave early abt 6am. Everything was in darkness, so we just let ourselves out the front door.
