What i didn't like is there wasn't a fridge which was a problem

The location was very nice - close by to the train station and some parking spots nearby to the hotel. Toilets were very clean and the room service emptied our trash daily. Fridge was a great addition in the room! My friend was also able to ask for extra pillows for no extra cost.
The stairs were quite an exercise to go with heavy luggage, but thankfully we were staying on the 2nd floor.

At the great price (off-season, Christmas), I was pleasantly surprised to find a refrigerator and a full size mirror, as well as TV (which I never use) in the room. The location is superb, close to the train station and the center, but not really noisy outside, just some passerby(s). Shared facilities were clean and plentiful with 2 WC and 3 showers per floor. Wi-Fi worked great. Check-in is mostly via key-box, but well explained and easy to use. The room was warm, but with no temperature control.
The mattress on my single bed was sooo soft, which is very unusual for Germany. Some guests were smoking on the stairs, in spite of the signs in the room. The hotel needs to put “no smoking” signs on the stairs also.

There was a no-smoking sign in the room, as well as a smoke detector, but I assume the previous guest must have disabled the smoke detector. I opened the big window to air the room, but it was still uncomfortable going to sleep with that smell. I arrived too late to try to contact anyone about changing rooms. There are no staff or reception desk on site.
