I chose this hotel because of its relatively close proximity to the University of Kiel.
The hotel is located on a busy road, but the thick cover of trees and bushes makes the place quiet and cozy.
In the spring, birds sing in the morning, rabbits run around in the evening, and squirrels - almost at all hours.
You can get to the hotel by taxi or by buses that leave from the train station.
The bathrooms are very nice and extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the carpeting throughout the hotel needs to be replaced, as it shows signs of years of use.
The hotel does not have an elevator.

The beds were very comfortable, the bedlinen and towels were fresh and hardly used. The room was very clean, the fittings of good quality. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, and the shower was a very nice surprise with the very innovative water control deserving a special mention here.
For breakfast there was a very nice selection to choose from, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful.
We will certainly recommend this hotel to others visiting Kiel. We found the room rate more than reasonable when compared to what was offered.
We have no complaints.

- The staff member assisting during breakfast was not particularly friendly. I noticed she seemed more welcoming toward German-speaking guests.
- The rooms shown in the promotional images appear to be from a higher price category. This created slightly misleading expectations.
