The location is superb, not far from the city center, restaurants, bars, and shops. 10 mins from the bus stop. The host is super-friendly and helpful... Breakfast was lovely and always a filled bottle of water in the room.. Comfortable bed and overall cleanliness.
I had to share the toilet with another room ( it was located in the corridor next to my room). Though I had a shower and a wash basin in my room... But during my stay, the other room was vacant, so I had it all to myself ))... The other issue was WiFi . I could not connect the 1st day at all (according to the host, there was some work on it going on). But it became better on the following day.

The location is perfect...
It's a family business and the owner is very nice and helpfull... lots of story about the history of Monschau shared with us...
we are feeling HOME staying in this hotel...
the room is fine, it's simple but enough for few nights and can sleep well, clean and we get all we need easily...
Breakfast is good enough, simple but very nice and completely fulfill our needs... :-)
The stairs... but lucky it's not going up to high :-) just 1-3 levels and short stairs...
The room wall it's not fully issolated... so we can hear the voices from other room. we need to talk softly in our room :-)
The cans at the coridor need to be refilled with hot water during the evening time.

Well exceeding my expectations of a “basic” hotel. The room was nice, the bed comfortable and the shower excellent. Great breakfast too. And friendly staff formed the icing on the cake. I’d happily return!
