Great view of the lake and lovely room. Many of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the location which was a little out of town but well connected with public transport and there is a nice walking /cycling track around the lake.

As an independent traveller it felt like we were sometimes second fiddle to larger groups staying at the hotel. Restaurants and other facilities can get booked out by groups which if you are not aware of this can leave you having to find alternatives at the last minute. One or two of the reception staff weren’t always helpful and friendly but fortunately other members of staff made up for this.

Nice pool area, nice garden, breakfast was great value.

Check in at 3pm no exception but don’t have man power to cope with it a 3pm. We arrived at 2pm . Our room was probably ready it was too hot to be used before . A/c was turned off at 40 degree weather . Who does this? — different experience if let check in people while they arrive to cope with and have a/c turned on. Long ways through a middle of a reception in bathrobe. Check out clerk was overwhelmed while is manager of was chilling in the back … needless to say there was no conversation nor upcoming sell at check out.

Staff friendliness and room cleanliness

The building has a very institutional feel about it and it didn't feel cosy in any of the communal areas. Some of the corridors are extraordinarily wide which means the rooms are quite small. Quite long queues and waiting time to check-in. The main breakfast room feels very tight around the buffet area and there was just enough width for 2 people. But it is a good location. When we checked out there was an attempt to charge us for something we never had but in the end it was accepted that we had nothing left to pay for. Overall, an ok place to stay but next time I will look elsewhere.
