The location was perfect. Accessed via an hourly cogwheel train from GaPa made it very convenient. The hotel is well placed for local walks an gives you a sense of peace and quiet. The view of the mountain behind the hotel was a wonderful sight to wake up to! It was so good to have the pool to come back to after a day of walking/cable car riding!
Grainau is nearby but didn't have many restaurants open when we visited in Sept, and those that were open only accepted cash. So we ate at the hotel most nights. Food was good but it would have been nice to try other places. Hotel staff were very friendly but it would have been helpful if the hotel had some promo material that could explain all the hotel offers (ebikes, travel tips etc) we had to ask for everything. Rooms were a bit dated but had all we needed.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help, which made the experience even better. The location is also very good - it is well connected to Zugspitze, Eibsee, and Garmisch city, making it a great base for exploring the area. Breakfast was good as well, with plenty of choice and something for everyone.
One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel consists of three buildings: the main building with the restaurant and main facilities, and two additional buildings.
The hotel is also pet-friendly, which is a big plus.
Parking arrangements could be done better. Many guests arrive by car, while the parking spaces are limited, especially near the additional buildings. At times we had to drive around to find a free space. Also, since not everyone parks very neatly, fitting into the tighter spots can be a bit tricky. Considering the €10.50 parking fee per day, it would be great to have a parking space permanently fixed durig one's stay. Better marking of the spaces and a bit more control would also help.

The location : close to Eibsee and to Garmisch. The bus and train stations are VERY close and free with the hotel.
Food was canteen quality, the common place is not cosy, not enough sights on the outside/ mountains, too impersonal.
