Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach

I came over to Marbella to celebrate my birthday. In the evening, I checked into the hotel, and a lady at reception told me that my room didn't have a sea view and that if I wanted one, I'd have to pay more. I asked to see the room, and it was a corner-side pool view. So I told her that it's not a sea view I would like to pay the extra cost. She became extremely rude after all, her name was Juniper or smth like that. She sent me to my room with a bellboy. The room faced the road, with nonstop noise all night, and she said they don't have any rooms at all, as they are fully booked. Previously, I told her that I have sleeping problems, and what is more important for me is a quiet room. So I was struggling till 5 a.m. in the morning, with no possibility of falling asleep, and, believe it or not, I went to the reception, and there was another shift, a young man. I told him that the room is so, so, so noisy I can't sleep at all, and he immediately gave me another one with hundreds of "sorry" and a nice smile. And he left the message to his manager. So in the morning, the manager upgraded my room to the quiet sea-view room. But that lady was extremely rude and treated me meanly. I wouldn't recommend the hotel because of such awful ladies. Paying 430 euros per night, I expect to be treated well and to be heard. And to make you smile more: I had only UK-type sockets, so I needed an adaptor to recharge my phone; the lady at reception told me they didn't have a spare. But a nice man found me a spare immediately at 5 a.m.in the morning...

Room, pool, sun beds, breakfast & aqua gym

All our bikinis & shorts were yellow from the pool. Food at the pool was rather low quality.

Location is excellent and central. It’s nice that they have activities.

Level of cleanliness is not good. I had to wash the coffee cups everyday before using them in the room, and had to take the washed ones with me to the breakfast area because also the ones there were always stained. The staff at breakfast were snobby (or racist) not sure. The reception staff did not answer me on a timely manner and didn’t try to assist me in wanting to visit Al Hambra Palace. They made it seem impossible and super expensive, while after digging online for so long I was able to go.
