Holiday World Riwo, Affiliated by Meliá

The property was excellent, beautifully decorated, colourful and the outdoor areas were pretty. The food was delicious and the staff were very nice and attentive.

Only negative was the bathroom in one of the rooms we booked stank like death. There was sewage odour coming through the drainage which stank up the whole suite. We complained and they sent the maintenance guys to look into it but this did not help.They were fully booked so they could not move us to a different room. We had to shut the bathroom door and block off the floor with a towel and use the bathroom in the other room our party booked for most of our stay. They were able to move us out of the room on the 4th day but then we had to leave the day after. Not cool. Also, the evening entertainment could be better.

Pool area great with plenty entertainment for families. Rooms were nice . Complex had everything including shops.

Location is at the top of a steep hill but they offer a bus shuttle service between the 3 Holiday world hotels

Well equipped and food was good

Rock hard beds. It’s not really an all inclusive hotel if you purchase that. No ashtrays in rooms. Showers don’t work well. They choose a cocktail you have to pay for daily even if it’s on the all inclusive list. The entertainment was awful only good one was Spanish dance. not much going on. They advertise access to this and that but it’s not open and you’re not told at time of booking advertising is wrong- they say that ice cream is available for all inclusive but there is not one available They don’t heat the pool at all outside even tho it’s freezing. One particular man who never smiled and always made you feel rushed. food is a hit and miss. Gaming room closed. kids got bored badly. Pool table broken. Takes money ask got someone to come to return money or fix and no one ever came or bothers. One Free visit to spa per stay but the lady tried to charge us. swimming caps must be worn and cost 3.50 also each, you don’t keep them either. No beach towel ticket given and didn’t even know until customer advised. Could have been better. We visited holiday village years ago and was proper good but this one not really. wouldn’t return
